애착 Attachment

사전적 의미로 '몹시 사랑하거나 끌리어 떨어지지 않으려는 마음'을 애착이라고 한다. ● 인간은 사랑을 받고 하지 않으면 살 수 없는 존재로 가족이나 친구 연인, 동물 또는 사물에게 까지 애착을 가지고 산다. 현대사회는 물질적이고 개개인이 고립되어 살아가기에 이러한 애착증상은 더 심화되어지는 것 같다. 애착은 심하면 위험하게 된다.

어렸을 때는 부모의 사랑에 목말라하였는데 부모가 되어 자녀들이 성장하니 자녀의 사랑에 목말라하는 부모가 되어있다. 사람은 어느 나이를 막론하고 사랑을 통해 안정감을 느끼며 살아가야 하는 존재이기에 사람으로부터 채워지지 않은 욕구는 다른 어떤것으로든 대체해야만 되는 것이다. 조직이나 사회의 부속물로 로봇처럼 자신의 맡은 일을 수행하고 감정의 동요없이 하루하루를 살아가는 인간형을 추구하는 지금의 사회에서 가장 기본적인 욕구인 사랑이 충족되지 않아 다방면에서 애착적인 모습을 보이며 살아가게 되는 것 같다. ● 이러한 애착적인 모습들을 통해 현대사회의 모순과 실마리를 동시에 생각해보고 싶다. ■ 이하목

In this exhibition, the main theme is 'attachment'. ● Attachment is said in the dictionary sense to be "a desire to love terribly or be obsessed to it." The more attachment you have to people, the more dangerous it becomes. ● When I was a child, I was thirsty for the love of my parents, but I became a parent who was thirsty for the love of my children as my children grew up. Human beings, at any age, feel secure through love. Modern society pursues a human form that performs its duties like a robot as an adjunct to an organization or society rather than a human being and should live day by day without the fluctuations of emotions. Therefore, it seems that human beings are not satisfied with their most basic needs, love, and live by exuding an attachment appearance in many ways. ● Through this 'attachment', I'd like to think about the contradictions and clues of modern society at the same time. ■ Lee Hamock
