Nu Collection

유아트스페이스는 2021년 6월 2일부터 7월 3일까지 이윤성의 개인전 『Nu collection』을 개최한다. 이번 전시에서는 2019년 개인전 『Inside of Light』에 소개되었던 작품 「Zodiac」에서 파생된 황도 십이궁의 초상, 그리스·로마 신화의 메두사를 형상화한 페인팅, 디지털 3D 작업과 Sculpture, NFT (대체불가토큰) 기반 디지털 아트 등 다양한 소재와 형식을 지닌 작품 27점이 전시된다.

회화를 전공한 작가는 서양미술사에서 자주 보이는 신화와 서사에 자신이 즐기는 하위문화를 결합하여 하이브리드 작품으로 완성시켰다. 인터넷의 발달로 얻어진 다채로운 경험을 통해 상반되는 소재들이 결합되면서 작가만의 조형양식이 완성되었고, 이는 디지털 이미지와 순수회화, 평면에서 입체, 이번 전시에서 선보이는 디지털 캔버스의 NFT아트까지 열린 시각으로 예술의 영역을 넓혀 나갔다.

새로운 유형과 형식을 탐구했던 이전 개인전 『Nu Type』, 『Nu Frame』을 잇는 이번 『Nu Collection』은 작가가 펼쳐 나가는 여러 형식의 작품들을 한자리에 모은 것이다. Covid-19의 영향으로 온라인을 통한 예술작품의 소유와 감상도 변화를 맞이하며 디지털 매체를 통한 예술계의 다양한 시도를 보여주고 있다. 단순한 온라인 체험을 넘어 동시대 미술의 또 다른 시각 효과를 선보이는 것이다. 이윤성의 창의적이고 편견 없는 작품활동은 이러한 시대를 관통하며 이번 전시를 통해 온· 오프라인의 매력을 동시에 보여준다. 나아가 미래지향적으로 확장되는 예술계를 느끼도록 해 줄 것이다. ■ 유지희

UARTSPACE is pleased to announce Lee Yunsung's solo exhibition 『Nu Collection』 from June 2 to July 3, 2021. The exhibition feature 27 works of various materials and formats, including a portrait of the zodiac derived from the 2019 solo exhibition 『Inside of Light』, paintings depicting the medusa of Greek and Roman mythology, digital 3D work and Sculpture, and NFT (non-alternative token) based on digital art. ● The artist, who majored in painting, combined myths and narratives frequently seen in Western art history with subcultures that he enjoys and completed his artworks with the hybrid. The combination of conflicting materials through the development of the Internet has expanded the scope of art from an open perspective to digital images, pure painting, three-dimensional in the plane, and digital canvas NFT art presented in the exhibition. ● Previous solo exhibitions 『Nu Type』 and 『Nu Frame』 explored new types and forms, and this 『Nu Collection』 is a collection of works in various forms that the artist unfolds. Due to Covid-19, the possession and appreciation of artworks online are also changing, showing different attempts by the art world through digital media. Beyond a simple online experience, it also presents another visual effect of contemporary art. Lee Yunsung's creative and unbiased work activities penetrate this era and show both online and offline charm through this exhibition.
