서화(書畵), 조응(調應)하다. ● 『서화(書畵), 조응(調應)하다.』 전은 소산 박대성 화백의 작품을 중심으로 한국 회화의 전통적인 수학법과 양식을 재조명 하였으며, 박대성 화백의 날카롭고 묵직한 필법으로 그려낸 신작으로 공간을 구성 하였다. 전시를 구성함에 있어서 한국 서화를 모두가 즐길 수 있도록 소개하고 알리는 것을 주안점으로 기획을 진행하였다.

서화를 기초부터 알아갈 수 있도록 전시를 구성하기 위해서 박대성 1관과 2관은 각각 영상관과 자료실로 만들어졌다. 영상관에서 상영되는 미디어아트, 필법(筆法)은 서화 작품이 내재한 정서와 한국화의 기술적인 부분을 집중적으로 조명하였다. 이 영상에는 박대성 화백이 직접 출연하여 작품을 제작하기 위해 정신을 고양하고 필선을 운용하기까지의 과정을 경주의 아름다운 풍경과 함께 연출하였다. 박대성2관의 자료실은 한반도에서 서화가 꽃피우기 시작한 역사를 살펴보고 자신만의 서화를 그려내기 위하여 수행되는 「임서(臨書)와 임모(臨模)」 작품들을 함께 전시한다. 출품되는 임서, 임모 작품은 통일신라시대의 명필가인 지서 김생과 조선시대의 문필가인 추사 김정희의 글과 그림으로 구성되었다. 3관에서 5관까지는 박대성 화백의 신작으로 공간을 가득 채웠다. 이번 전시에 출품되는 작품들은 전통적인 서화가 가진 기존의 조형성에 박대성 화백만의 새로운 필법과 구도가 조화롭고 아름답게 스며들어있다. 고전에 멈춰 있지 않고 옛 것을 바탕으로 새롭고 수준 높은 세계를 화폭에 담아내는 박대성 화백의 신작을 통해 한국화의 다양한 가능성과 미래를 엿볼 수 있을 것이다. ■ 이재욱

Paintings and writings, in harmony. ● The 『Paintings and writings, in harmony』 exhibition sheds new light on the traditional mathematical methods and styles of Korean paintings, focusing on the works of artist Sosan Dae-sung Park, and composes the space with new works drawn with the sharp and heavy writing methods of artist Dae-sung Park. In composing the exhibition, the planning was carried out with the main focus of introducing and promoting Korean paintings and writings for everyone's enjoyment. ● To organize the exhibition in such a way that visitors can learn about the paintings and writings from the beginning, Dae-sung Park Hall 1 and 2 were made into a video studio and an archive, respectively. Media Art and writing methods, which are shown in the video studio, focus on the emotions inherent in the paintings and writings, as well as on the technical aspects of Korean painting. Artist Dae-sung Park makes a direct appearance in the video and directs the process of raising the spirit and working the drawing line to create a piece of art with the beautiful scenery of Gyeongju. The archive in Dae-sung Park Hall 2 exhibits the works titled 「Followed Writings (Imseo and Immo)」, in which is examined the history of the advent of painting and writing on the Korean Peninsula, leading to the creation of the artists' own paintings and writings. The Imseo and Immo works to be submitted are composed of writings and paintings by Jiseo Saeng Kim, an unrivaled writer from the Unified Silla period, and Chusa Jeong-hee Kim, a writer from the Joseon Dynasty. From Halls 3 to 5, Dae-sung Park's new works fill the space. The works displayed in this exhibition are harmoniously and beautifully infused with the existing formativeness of traditional paintings and writings, and the new writing methods and compositions of artist Dae-sung Park. Dae-sung Park 's new works, which express a new and high-quality world on drawing paper that transcends the classics, give a glimpse into the various possibilities and future of Korean painting. ■ Jae-wook Lee
