靑, 푸르름은 붉음에서 생긴다

산수가 지니고 있는 관조적이고 도가적인 느낌을 석채의 독특하고 투박한 한국적 질감과 조형적 표현을 통해 관람자들과 소통하길 원한다. 급변하는 현대사회에서 산업화와 기계화로 내면 깊숙히 존재하고 있는 꿈과 서정들을 잃어가는 현대인들에게 ´丹谷沙(靑은 붉음에서 온다)′ 라는 나의 회화를 통해 관람자들과 소통과 자연이 주는 서정들을 나누기를 기대한다.

내 화실 뒤편에 아주 나즈막한 산이 있다. 산이라기보다 어릴 적 자주 놀러 다녔던 동네 뒷동산 같은 이 산자락을 나는 가끔 운동 삼아 걷는데, 동산을 거닐다보면 도심 속에서 느낄 수 없는 정감을 느낀다. 나무들 사이로 부는 바람에 흔들리는 나뭇잎들의 소근거림과 숲 어디에선가 들리는 아름다운 새소리를 듣고 있으면 어느덧 나는 명산 고지에 올라 앉아 있는 듯 내 가슴이 설렌다. 온통 회색으로 퇴색해가는 듯한 도심의 하늘 속에서 가냘픈 목소리로 자연을 노래하는 그 새처럼 나도 지난 몇 해를 산야를 떠돌며 도심에서 잊혀지고 있는 우리 산야의 무수한 감동을 캔버스위에 옮겨 놓으려 애써왔다. ● 우리산야의 사계절은 어느 하나 아름답지 않을 때가 없이 분명하고 또렸하다. 봄의 다사로운 신록의 감촉과 여름의 짙푸름, 시원스레 흘러내리는 계곡의 물소리, 산야가 온통 붉게 타 오르는 가을, 격정으로 타 오르던 불길도 사라지고 하얗게 마음을 비워 가는 겨울은 상념에 잠기게 한다. 나는 그 속에서 흐르는 스산한 바람소리와 산야의 정취를 그대로 캔버스 위에 풀어 놓기를 소망 했다. ● 그동안 지향해 왔던 전통적이고 보수적인 필법에서 벗어나 그 재료를 지, 필, 묵이 아닌 우리의 산이나 강 그 어디에서나 불 수 있는 돌들을 채취하고 장지에 안착시켜 그 석채들이 품고 있는 조화로운 빛과, 태고 때부터 돌 속에 존재했던 우주의 숨을 표현하고자 한다. 나의 내면 깊숙히 존재하고 있는 유년시절의 꿈과 서정들을 산의 노래라는 형상을 통해 단순화시켜 그 꿈들의 집착에서 벗어나 장년의 현재를 받아들이는 내 마음을 노래 하고자 한다. ● 현대사회는 정보, 통신 수단의 발달을 통하여 문명 간 상호작용을 크게 증가시켰다. 이러한 현상은 문명 간의 개방적 교류뿐만 아니라 자문화의 정체성에 대한 관심을 환기시켰다. 즉 외래 문물을 받아들이면서도 자문화의 특성을 살리는 것이 현대 사회의 주요한 흐름이라 할 수 있다. 이번 丹谷沙를 통해 점점 화단에서 밀려나고 있는 전통 산수화의 현대적 해석과 재인식을 꿈꿔본다. ● 문명에게서 길들여진 우리의 가슴에 한 줄 꿈과 서정의 노래로 다가서고, 함께 나누고 싶다. 현대인들의 메마른 정서에 푸른 빛으로 꿈과 서정이 되길 기대한다. ■ 오선예

The Sand bring life ● There's a small mountain behind my studio. It's like more than mountain and it's as if the hill was at the back of my village that I used to play when I was young. So I often jog there and I feel the sentiment that I cannot feel in the city. When I hear the leaves whistling in the wind and the singing of birds in the woods, my heart flutters as if I sit down on the upland of a noted mountain. Like the bird that sings to nature with its feeble voice in the sky of the city which seems discolored with grey all over the place, I have been trying to put the innumerable strong impression of the mountains forgotten in the city on canvas while I have been wandering about fields and mountains for the last several years. ● Our fields and mountains at all seasons are very beautiful and clear. There is the touch of fresh verdure in spring, deep blue color in summer. It has red splendid color of the fields and mountains in autumn and the beauty of white winter. I can meditate by emptying my mind. I desired to draw the mood of the wind, the sound of the fields and mountains of my mind on the canvas with India ink just the way those are. ● I presented our mountain and beautiful nature with ground stone which is everywhere and I didn't use conservative and conventional strokes of the brush I sought to describe with India ink. Simplifying my childhood's dream and emotion which lives deeply within my heart through the song of mountain. I wanted to describe my mind- escaping from attachment and accepting middle-age. Nature transports me to my childhood and friends of old. Some pine trees group the seashore meet the sea breeze with their stems. So many seashells and a variety of stones made me meditate the dream of childhood. I hope to share ancestor' honorable history with elements of my paintings. ● Modern society has increased the interaction of culture through the means of information and communication. This phenomenon raises the interest of identity of one's culture as well as the exchange of openness of culture. It is the main stream that we accept the foreign civilization and keep ours. ● I try to emphasize modern meaning of traditional landscape which is ignored by people through the Sand bring life. I have depicted the splendid and beautiful scenery for ten years. I try to appreciate the beautiful colors of mountain through this exhibition with viewers. I want to share wonderful songs of dream in our heart which is used to developed civilization and expect viewers to appreciate delineation. ■ OHSUNYEA
