본인이 나타내고자 하는 것은, 자아에 대한 내적인 치유를 하는데 그 목적이 있으며, 치유에 대한 근본적 개념을 탐구하는 과정을 통해 시간과 공간에 관한 연관성을 두고, 지금의 작품에서는 상징적 표현인 가슴 안에 이상, 꿈, 조화, 슬픔, 탄생을 중심으로 흐름에 시간성과 연관 지어, 상처에 관한 치유를 이야기하는 봄, 여름, 가을, 겨울이라 하는 태마를 가지게 되었다.

본인 작품의 주된 테마가 되는 것은 봄, 여름, 가을, 겨울 그리고 인간(생명)이다. 이는 시간의 흐름에 앞에 변하여가는 사계의 변화를 통해 많은 사유의 공간을 만나고, 이로 인해 인간은 성숙해지며, 그럼 의로서 인간은 자연의 흐름 앞에 초연이 삶을 영유하는 존재로서 남아있게 되는데, 우리는 이러한 관계를 통해 인간이 가지는 아픔과 슬픔에 관해 흐르는 물길에 놓인 자연스러움으로써, 가슴 안에 치유를 얻고, 다시 제 자리로 돌아오고, 또다시 태어나는 존재로서 인식을 가질 수 있게 된다.

봄은 녹색, 새롭게 태어나는 것들의 색에 대한 느낌의 표현이며 생명 탄생의 시작이 되는 소중함의 언어이며, 여름은 푸름, 이는 뜨거운 열기 속에 그에 반한 생명의 활기찬 모습을 나타내고, 가을은 황토, 따스한 햇살이 머무른 자리에 초연이 고개를 숙이는 벼와 풍성한 수확을 얻는 모습을 상상하게 되며 이 모습 속에 인간은 가슴에 기쁨을 얻게 된다. 그리고 겨울은 흰색으로, 자연을 품에 안은 설경의 모습 속에 덧없이 흐르는 시간의 멈춤을 나타냄으로써, 그 동안에 싸여진 어둡다거나 시들어 버린 여린 감정들에게 새로운 생명을 줄 수 있다는 희망의 메시지를 남길 수 있게 된다.

주된 재료는 부서진 유리이며, 동심에 순수함이 삶의 희노애락(喜怒哀樂) 안에서 살아가는 동안, 아픔과 슬픔으로 인해, 아름다운 인생과의 연결 고리가 갈라져 부서져 내린 때, 다시 이상과 꿈에 부푼 가슴으로 잃어버리지 말아야 할 소중한 가치, 마음을 모아, 다시 부서진 것을 붙여나가는 조합의 형식을 통해, 새로운, 또 다른 시작이 진행되어 짐을 이야기 하였다. 그리고 이와 함께 구성되어지는 유리 구술과 투명성을 가진 재료들은 우리들 몸에 고이 간직되어있는 맑고, 영농한 아이의 웃음과 미소, 그 과거의 기억들을 모아, 앞으로 살아가는 데 있어, 기쁨으로 가득 찬 세계를 바라봄의 의미로 사용하였다.

외형 이미지는 지나온 것들을 회상하며, 느낀 향수를 상징하는 이미지들로, 사랑하던 이의 모습과 너와나의 감정적 교감(인간), 만남(나비),어린생명(곰, 토끼) 그리고 여행을 통해 바라본 세상과의 만남을 고래(자유)를 통해 나타내었고, 지금 만나거나 보이지 않지만, 언제나 함께 하고픈, 기억을 남길 수 있는 것들로 구성하였다. 그리고 이미지 중앙에 위치한 사람의 모습은, 각 계절이 변하여 가는 시간의 흐름을 거슬러, 변하여 가는 모든 것들을 앞에 두고, 가슴 한 곳에 머물러 있는 본질 적, 자신의 모습을 남기는 것으로, 다양한 모든 색을 흡수하여 만들어지는 검은색 재료인 흑연을 문질러 은은히 반짝이며, 세월이 흘러도 변하지 않는 모습을 남겼다.

What I like to express aims to do internal healing of ego, and through the process of exploring the fundamental concept of healing, there is a connection between time and space. Connecting the flow with temporality focusing on ideal, dream, harmony, sorrow, and birth in my heart as symbolic expression, my current works have themes of spring, summer, autumn, and winter, talking about healing wounds. ● The main themes of my works include spring, summer, autumn, winter, and human(life). Through changes of the seasons in front of the time flow, human beings meet a space of much thinking and then get mature. Finally, humans are left as beings who lead their lives aloofly in front of the flow of nature. Based on the naturaliness in the waterway of human's pain and sorrow through such relations, humans get healed inside, come back to the original place, and then come into beings again. ● Spring is green, the expression of feelings about colors newly coming into the world as a language of preciousness becoming the beginning of life birth. Summer is blue showing the vital look of life in the hot fever. Autumn is red clay that makes us imagine the look of rice plants and the harvest under the warm sunlight, which makes humans feel happy. And winter is white that can leave a message of hopes to give a new life to dark or faded tender feelings by showing the stoppage of time flowing in vain with the look of snowy scene holding nature. ● The main material is broken glasses, talking about new and another start based on the style of connecting broken pieces with all my heart filled with ideals, dreams and precious values that should not be lost when the link with beautiful life is cracked down by pain and sorrow of life with all sorts of emotions. And glass beads and transparent materials were used for the meaning of viewing the world filled with joy collected from old memories such as pure and bright laughs and smiles of a child still contained in our bodies. ● As the external image symbolizes nostalgia felt from remembering the past, the look of the person in love, emotional communion between us(human), meeting(butterfly), young life(bear, rabbit), and the meeting with the world viewed from travel were expressed into whale(freedom) while also composing it with something that is memorable all the time. The human in the center of the image is an essential look in front of everything changing against the time flow of seasonal changes. By rubbing graphite as a black material made by absorbing all the diverse colors, it shows an unchangeable look which is gently glittering. ● For the characteristic of the work, it glitters when getting light. This glitter means that we can always glitter beautifully when we remember our past, present, and future, and also overcome pain and sorrow. Even if we are imprisoned, we always have to dream of the light of hope in the belief that a little prince who will be holding our hand and smiling at us tomorrow is always next to us by protecting a rose in the asteroid. ■ kIMKANGHYUN
