Chaotic Balance

제목의 혼돈은 어떠한 발현도 가능한 원초적 상태를 말한다 . 이는 모든 가능성이 내재되어있는 상태로 예측 불가한 우리의 삶과 닮아 있다. 삶의 과정에서 선택의 순간에 이 길을 가볍고 즐겁게 가기를 원하는 마음이 방향이 되었고 작업은 상징적인 실천이 되었다. '나' 를 비우고 '다름' 과 변화를 수용하며 생기는 균형의 즐거움은 이번 작업을 작가가 제시하는 결과의 형태를 넘어 끝없는 변화 자체가 될 수 있게 하였다. 작업에 쓰인 다양한 소재들은 삶의 구성 요소를 상징하고 참가자는 소재의 조합을 유발하는 변수로 작용하며, 변화의 조합을 가능하게 하기위해 철 소재의 타공망과 모든 소재들에 자석을 장착하였다. ■ 차명혜

The Chaos in the title represents a primitive state where many manifestation is possible. It resembles our lives which are unpridictable with all immanent possibilities. Yearning for making this journey lightly anf joyfully at the moment of choice in life has guided the path ant the work itself became its symbolic practice. The joy of balance, emerging from vacating 'me' and accepting 'differences', enables this creative process in itself to transform into a permanent change beyond the formation of the work the artist presents. Various materials used for this work symbolize the elements of life. Visitors' acts function as variablw ; including a fresh blend of the materials and the creationg new images. Magnets are installed in all materials, to simulate such changes. ■ Cha Myung Hye
