Line-그 경계에 서다

작품 속에 드러난 서정적 풍경은 인생의 Line으로 보며 자연의 많은 에너지를 지니고 있으며 보이지 않는 힘을 느끼게 한다. 단순하면서 평온해 보이는 화면에 작가의 불안정한 내적표현을 감추려하고 감춰진 내적 심리는 무수한 기호들의 자연에너지로 승화해내고 작가는 Line의 경계를 모호함으로 명명한다. 사실 인간의 감춰진 감성들은 본인만이 알 수 있는 것처럼, 보이지 않는 자연의 무한 에너지 또한 보여 지지 않는 것이 더 많기 때문이다. 자연과 인간과의 관계가 보이지 않는 비형상성에 비중이 더 크다면 보여 지는 실체에 크게 연연해하지 않을 것이다.

작품 화면에 보여 지는 Line은 삶을 살아가는 너와 나의 경계이며 현대의 사회 모습을 대변하는 큰 벽이라 할 수 있다. 자신의 삶이 정점을 넘어섰다고 생각할 때, 무심코 바라본 능선들이 보드랍게 다가오면서 여러 개의 Line들이 자신의 아집과 편견이며 끊을 수 없는 욕망 덩어리로 보이면서 작품에 많은 절제를 하였다. 작품은 작가의 삶이며 양식이다. 양식이 욕심으로 채워져 있지만 침묵하는 듯 펼쳐진 능선과 평온한 풍경에 잠시 묵상하며 휘돌아 일렁이는 수많은 역동적 내면의 감정을 화면에 포착해 그 경계를 가늠해본다. Line 상의 경계는 허물어질 듯 보이지만 수직, 수평으로 아지랑이처럼 화면에 일렁인다. 잠재워진 내면의 역동적 폭풍은 가라앉아있고 감상자는 그러한 작가의 감춰진 비밀을 눈치 채지 못할 것이다. 한 무리의 참새 떼가 나타났다가 사라져 버린 것처럼--- Line- 그 경계는 무엇인가? ■ 김미숙

The lyrical landscape in the work is seen as lines of one's life; it has abundant energy of the nature, which is invisible yet powerful. The attempt to hide the precarious feelings and hidden feelings of the artist is reflected on the screen that looks simple and calm; it has been transformed into natural energy of numerous symbols. The artist makes the boundary of the lines ambiguous. Just as the hidden emotions of a person cannot be recognized by anyone else, the natural energy is mostly invisible to outsiders, although it has unlimited potential. However, there is no need to dwell on the invisible aspects ― if the relationship between the nature and humans revolves around invisible aspects. The objects on the screen represent the boundary between each individual and portray the modern society as a 'big wall'. The work depicted the egotism and prejudice of people in moderation, although they seem like a lump of insatiable greed, which are expressed through the numerous lines. Those lines become visible when a person believes his or life has passed the peak in retrospect. Artworks represent the lives and styles of artists. In case of this work, the style only portrays the human greed. However, the work has captured the inner feelings associated with numerous dynamics of one's life, which are recognized upon self-reflection; it was done in a peaceful landscape and represented through silent lines of the work and the 'boundary.' Although it seems rather fragile, it moves horizontally and vertically ― like a haze. The calm yet dynamic storm of the artist's inner aspects is invisible to the viewers, as it is hidden or visible only for a short while ― like a flock of sparrows that disappear in no time.
