따사로운 햇살에 봄이 지나면, 강열한 태양빛에 뜨거운 여름이 찾아오고 머지않아 한줄기 서늘한 바람에 어느덧 가을이 되었음을 알 수 있듯이 우리의 일생도 사계절의 변화와 닮았다. ● 만물이 움트는 봄처럼 풋풋한 성장기를 거치며 인생을 배워가고, 신록이 우거지고 왕성한 번식을 자랑하는 여름이 찾아오면, 삶 또한 기대와 희망에 부풀어 열정적인 나날들을 보내게 된다. 오곡백과가 무르익어가는 가을이 되면 한결 사람의 마음이 여유로워 지듯이, 인생도 젊음의 들뜬 열정을 차분히 가라앉히고 소중한 삶의 결실들을 맺어가면서, 가끔은 지난 시절의 기억을 떠올리며 미소를 머금게 된다. ● 이번 전시는 이러한 인생의 과정 속에 겪게 되는 여러 모습들을 아름다운 날들의 기억들로 회상하며 작품으로 표현하였다. 왕성하고 열정적인 그리고 조금은 치기어린 젊음의 한 때를 남, 녀의 모습으로, 명성과 영광을 상징하는 뿔을 머리에 인체 박제가 되어버린 조금은 서글픈 중년의 모습과 함께, 어릴 적 풋사랑의 소녀를 떠올리고, 젊은 날 이룰 수 없었던 애절한 사랑도 추억해 본다. 그리고 인생의 겨울에는 무엇이 남게 될까. ■ 안경문

Once spring of warm sunshine passes, summer of the hot blazing sun arrives. Then before long we know that it is autumn when a cool breeze announces its arrival. Our lives are akin to the changes of four seasons. ● We go through a fresh, tender growth period, which is like spring when all things sprout, and begin to learn what life is about. Then summer arrives in our lives, when everything is lush and thriving, our lives are also full of hopes and expectations and overflowing with days of passion. In turn, when autumn arrives when all kinds of grains and fruit ripen, we become more relaxed. Likewise, in the autumn of our lives our lives become quietened from the restless passion of youth and begin to bear precious fruit of life and every now and then we also reminisce on our past with smiles. ● In this exhibition I have expressed in my works various aspects we experience in the seasons of our lives, reminiscing on these as memories of beautiful days. The forms of a man and a woman express a period of vibrant, passionate and a little bit immature youth. The middle-aged person, who is mummified, bears a horn on his head, which symbolises fame and glory, yet he can elicit some feelings of sadness. We also recall the girl of our puppy love days, and reminisce on the unfulfilled love of youth. And then, what will be left in our winter? ■ AHNKYUNGMOON
