조용한 대화

아버지의 편지 ● 나를 사랑한다고 아버지가 얘기 하신다. 나를 만지시고 고치시며 회복시키시는 사랑의 얘기. 싹이 돋아 잎이 되고 자라서 열매를 맺듯이, 죽은 것 같은 나무껍질을 뚫고 새 잎이 나오듯이, 아버지의 사랑편지는 늘 이렇게 말한다. "진희야... 사랑한다." 나의 삶 속에 수없이 부쳐졌던 사랑의 편지를 나는 이제야 하나 하나 열어 보았다. 어릴 적 혼자 놀고 있을 때도 내가 사람들과 부딪겨 힘들어 할 때도 마음이 너무 아파 기도조차 나오지 않아 두 다리 뻗고 울고만 있을 때도, 혼자 길을 걷고 있을 때도 편지는 어김없이 내게 부쳐졌는데 나는 알아차리지 못했다. 이제야 그 편지들을 하나 하나 열어보며 그 순간마다 사랑의 눈길을 보내고 계셨던 아버지의 시선을 깨닫는다. 하나님 아버지 사랑합니다. ■ 최진희

Letter from the father ● The Father tells me that he loves me. This is a love story describing how He touches me, fixes me and restores me. As a young shoot becomes a leaf and produces seed, as the new leaf shoots out of the dead wood bark, the letter from the father always whispers, "My daughter... I love you." I finally opened up the countless letters of love sent into my life, one by one. Even when I was playing alone as a child, even when I was hurt from quarrels with other people, even when I was so heartbroken that I was unable to pray but cry with my two legs stretched out, even when I was walking all alone, The letters were ceaselessly sent to me but I could not realize it. Now looking back and opening those letters one by one, I can understand the Father's eyes of love looking down at me every moment of my life. God the Father, I love you. ■ CHOIJINHEE
