호랑가시나무창작소는 광주광역시 양림동에 위치한 121년 역사의 언더우드 선교사 사택을 예술 창작과 교류의 플랫폼으로 새롭게 탄생시킨 레지던시 공간입니다. 이곳에서는 시각예술, 문학, 음악, 연극, 영화 등 다양한 분야의 예술가들이 실험적이고 혁신적인 창작과 전시를 선보이며 새로운 가능성을 모색하고 있습니다. ● 창작소는 아트폴리곤, 글라스폴리곤, 베이스폴리곤 등 다채로운 창작 및 전시 공간을 운영하며, 지역 주민과의 협력으로 예술 교육 프로그램을 운영하고, 국내외 작가 교류를 통해 문화적 가치를 확산하고 있습니다. 특히 2021년부터는 광주비엔날레 메인 전시장으로 활용되며, 광주시립미술관 등 지역 기관과 협력하고 국내외 예술 단체와의 네트워크를 통해 예술가들에게 폭넓은 기회와 창작 환경을 제공하고 있습니다. ● 호랑가시나무창작소는 이러한 네트워크를 통해 예술가들의 역량 강화를 지원하며, 지속 가능한 창작 환경을 조성하는 데 앞장서고 있습니다. 입주 작가들은 다양한 분야의 예술가들과 교류하며, 예술을 다층적이고 다각적으로 탐구할 수 있습니다. 풍부한 문화적 토양을 바탕으로 호랑가시나무창작소는 지역과 세계를 연결하며, 창작과 교류의 중심지로 자리 잡았습니다. 2025년, 호랑가시나무창작소에서 새로운 예술적 여정을 함께 만들어갈 작가님들을 기다립니다. ■ 호랑가시나무창작소

□ 제출서류(양식은 자유롭게 기재) - 포트폴리오(10매 이내) / 입주 창작활동계획서 (A4 2장 내외)   1) 포트폴리오 PDF파일로 제출       · 작품이미지, 활동실적         (약력, 전시포스터, 도록, 기사 등 사본이미지)       · 영상작품은 스틸컷 표기   2) 창작활동계획서 자유롭게 기재

Horanggasy Creative Studio is an art residency located in Yangnim-dong, Gwangju, housed in the historic Underwood Missionary Residence, which boasts 121 years of history and has been reimagined as a platform for artistic creation and exchange. Here, artists from various disciplines—including visual arts, literature, music, theater, film, etc.—pursue experimental and innovative creation and exhibitions, exploring new possibilities. ● The studio operates diverse creative and exhibition spaces, including Art Polygon, Glass Polygon, and Base Polygon. It also runs art education programs in collaboration with local residents and spreads cultural value through exchanges with domestic and international artists. Since 2021, it has also served as a main venue for the Gwangju Biennale and has collaborated with key institutions such as the Gwangju Museum of Art. Through its extensive network with domestic and international art organizations, it provides artists with diverse opportunities and creative environments. ● Horanggasy Creative Studio supports the development of artistic capacities through these networks, leading the way in fostering a sustainable environment for creation. Resident artists can engage with peers from various fields, exploring the multifaceted and multidimensional nature of art.
