Golden Space

나의 여름은 긴 무더위 속에서도 정말 행복했다. 색의 중첩과 꼴라쥬의 묘한 매력에 이끌려 매일 아침부터 오후 늦도록 많은 작업을 하면서 그림은 그리는 것만이 아닌 만들어 가는 조형의 과정이라는 것을 느끼려고 노력하였다. 의도한 대로 때론 의도하지 않은 결과의 기다림도 나에겐 설렘의 시간이었다. 특히 나의 꼴라쥬는 지나온 삶의 시간과 흔적들을 캔버스 공간에 묻어두고 깊이를 주는 추억의 놀이였다. 나의 행복한 작업은 계속될 것이고 황금처럼 반짝이는 아이디어와 다양한 실험과 연구로 더욱더 노력하는 작가가 될 것이다. 나의 작품들에 있어 든든한 지원을 해준 남편과 딸, 사위, 아들과 아낌없는 조언 해주신 선생님께 깊은 감사를 전한다. 아울러 금색의 따뜻함과 부와 번영이 모든 이에게 함께 하길... ■ 유미선

My summer was truly joyous, even in the midst of long heatwaves. Drawn in by the mysterious charm of overlapping colors and collages, I worked from early morning until late afternoon every day, trying to feel that creating art is not just about drawing it but about the process of forming it. Waiting for the results, whether intended or not, was an exciting time for me. My collages in particular were a playful way of embedding traces and moments of my past life into various depths of the canvas. An openness to experimentation and new methodologies has given way to these bright ideas - shining like gold and inspiring me to devote myself more deeply. I'm overjoyed to continue this journey. I would like to express my deep gratitude to my husband, daughter, son and son-in-law for their unwavering support, and to my teacher for his invaluable advice and guidance.
