서사적 정신성과 단순화된 의미들 ● 자신의 감성에 울림이 제공되는 이미지를 통해 자신의 순수 정신성을 추구하는 심리적 상태가 작가 이애경의 현재이다. 시간과 공간에 대응하는 생존의 문제들이 개인의 심리적 반응을 유도하여 공존과 공생이라는 절대적 공간으로 구축되는 바, 그가 구사한 대칭적 화면처리 역시 절대공간에 의하여 점유된 공간이다. 병치되거나 정형화된 틀처럼 보여 지는 사각이나 직각, 변형된 구조물들의 완결된 듯한 형태는 이상과 표현에 대한 조화의 최선이며, 평면이 가진 강한 흡입력으로 주변의 공간을 짜임새 있게 배열한다. 정적이지만 상당한 서사적 과정을 통해 만들어진 작가만의 공간이다. 파스텔계의 엷은 색들과 맞닿아 있는 어두운 빛의 진한 색 덩어리들 역시 '그린다' 라는 의미속에 담겨진 무한한 사고의 확장을 요구하며, 병치되거나 대치하고 있는 이미지 구성이 제공하는 이중성에 대한 포괄적 사상을 이야기 한다. (중략) 그가 추구하는 바에 대한 명료한 언어들이 간결하고 단순해 보이는 것은 미련을 버리는 과정으로 해석된다. 대칭적 도식을 따르면서도 억압된 정신구조를 벗어나기 위한 해방구를 찾아내고자 하는 늘 변화하는 유동이 감지된다. ■ 박정수

나에게 작업은 공연이자 놀이다. ● 색. 면. 점. 선으로 이루어진 기본 구성요소들은 즉흥성과 필연성을 갖는다. 그 관계들의 융합에서 생겨난 Contrast는 다소 유희적인 리듬을 형성하여 천천히 춤추듯 유영한다. 여백은 Blue의 색면에 긴장감을 더하고 상상의 여지를 주기 위함이다. 단순 명료한 직관적 쾌감에 의해 단숨에 그려진 듯한 이미지에 거창하거나 구체적인 의미는 부여되지 않는다. 순간적으로 떠오른 색면이 정제된 화면으로 필터링 될 뿐이다. 한마디로 정의하자면 단. 도. 직. 입. 이다. ● 그만큼 첫 느낌과 도입부가 중요하다. 그리고 Blue & White 안에는 and가 있다. 여기서 and는 상호작용과 상생의 역할을 한다. ● 작은 점 하나에서도 우주를 본다. 나에게 있어서 하늘은 거대한 Canvas이다. 내 작업에 대한 공연이 하늘에 닿고 관객(감상자)에 닿아 그들의 영감을 건드려주길 바라본다. For me, creating art is both a performance and play. ● The basic elements—color, shape, dot, and line—possess both spontaneity and inevitability. The contrasts that emerge from their fusion create a playful rhythm, flowing slowly as if dancing. The empty spaces add tension to the blue color fields, leaving room for imagination. There is no grand or specific meaning attached to the image that seems to have been drawn in a single breath, driven by the simple, direct pleasure of intuition. The color fields that come to mind in a moment are merely filtered into a refined composition. ● In a word, my work can be defined as simple, direct, and intuitive. That's how important the first impression and the beginning are. And within Blue & White, there is an "and." This "and" plays a role of interaction and mutual growth. ● In even the smallest dot, I see the universe. For me, the sky is a vast canvas.
