털요정 Fur Fairy

장난꾸러기 털요정은 털을 섞는다. / 진짜 털과 가짜 털 / 살아있는 털, 죽은 털 / 소중한 털, 더러운 털 / 귀여운 털, 역겨운 털 / 털을 모은다. / 떼어내고 더하고 꼬아서 / 의미를 변화시키고 / 장소를 이동시키고 / 어떤 생명체를 흉내 내고 / 두루뭉술한 것을 만들고 / 분신을 만들기도 한다. ● 털은 살아있는 것으로부터 자라난다. 살아있는 것은 끊임없이 흔적을 남긴다. 털은 위치해 있는 공간, 대상, 부위에 따라 인식이 달라지며 이는 작업이 갖는 성질과도 닮은 구석이 있다. 털과 작업은 그 자체가 갖는 의미를 넘어 이를 둘러싼 환경과 교류하여 새로운 관계를 형성한다. 조은석과 최고래는 다양한 종류의 털과 반응에 대한 이야기를 나누며 털이 가질 수 있는 의미의 확장성을 실험한다. ■ 서리풀청년아트갤러리

The mischievous fur fairy mixes hair / Real hair and fake hair, / Living hair and dead hair, / Precious hair and filthy hair, / Cute hair and disgusting hair. / The fairy gathers hair, / Detaching, attaching, and twisting it. / Changing its meaning, / Relocating it, / Imitating certain creatures, / Creating ambiguous forms, / And even making doppelgangers. ● Hair grows from living organisms. All living beings constantly leave traces behind. Hair can be perceived in various ways depending on its location, subject, or area, and in this sense, it shares a characteristic with art-making. Both hair and art-making go beyond their inherent meanings, interacting with their surrounding environments to form new relationships. Artists Cho Eun-seok and Choi Gorae explore different types of hair and their responses, experimenting with the expanded significance that hair can hold. ■ seoripul gallery
