바쁜 하루하루를 살아가는 우리들은 위로와 휴식이 필요하다. 인간이 세상에 태어나 평생을 살아간다는 것은 참으로 위대하다. 무수한 역경과 깊은 고독 이외에도, 사람들과 소통해야만 유지되는 생활 속에서 어떠한 자리를 확보해야만 이어갈 수 있는 생계의 혹독함... ● 무수한 연결고리로 이어져 있는 사회의 그물망은 보이지 않는 실로 짜여져 있는 덫과 같이 우리들을 옭아 매고 있는 것으로 생각된다. ● 이렇듯 저마다 여러가지 이유들로 힘겹게 하루하루를 살아가는 우리들이 위로를 얻을 수 있는 곳은 어디일까? 물론 여러가지 방법이 있을 수 있겠으나, 그 중 한 가지 방법은 아름다운 자연으로부터 휴식과 위로를 받는 것이라고 생각한다.

요즘 시청자들의 많은 사랑을 받고 있는 ' 나는 자연인이다.' 라는 TV 프로그램에서 처럼 자연이 우리에게 주는 위로와 생기는 참으로 은혜롭다. 자연은 우리에게 위로의 휴식 뿐만 아니라 원천적인 에너지를 충전해 줌으로써 우리들의 손상된 몸과 마음에 새로운 삶의 원기를 보충하고 우리들이 지속적으로 생을 유지할 수 있는 힘을 주기도 한다. ● "빛과 꽃의 정원" 이라는 제목 또한 그러한 자연의 연장선에서 생각할 수 있다. 저마다 비밀의 화원이 있을 수 있다. 아름다운 꽃을 피울 수 있게 하는 빛의 존재 또한 따로 분석해 보면 꽃처럼 아름다운 존재라는 것을 알 수 있다. ● "빛과 꽃의 정원" 의 작품들은 인간의 삶 속에 깃들어 있는 희노애락과 사랑, 미움, 욕망 등을 있는 그대로 인정함으로써 또 다른 차원의 승화와 용서, 화해, 삶에 대한 새로운 용기와 겸허한 마음등을 표현하고자 하였다. ● 이 작품들 속에는 꽃들의 모습이 단순히 겉으로 보이는 꽃 자체의 모습이 아닌 하나의 생명체와 인격체로서의 모습과 꽃들이 저마다 품고 있는 소우주로서의 신비한 존재를 발견하고 표현하려는 마음이 깃들어 있다.

모든 색의 조합이 어둠이 되는 것과 반대로 모든 빛의 조합이 오히려 무가 되는 존재로서의 빛의 모습을, 분산되는 무지개색들로 하나씩 나누어 각각의 색들이 작가에게 주는 이미지들을 활용해 추상적으로 형상화 함으로써, 빛 속에 존재하는 근원적인 신비한 힘을 표현하고자 하였다. ● 빛이 생명체들에 보이지 않게 내려 앉아 생명의 힘을 북돋아 주듯이 인간에게도 존재하지만 보이지 않는 존재로서 얼마나 큰 위로와 생명의 힘을 주고 있는 지를 표현하고자 하였다. ● 빛과 꽃들이 바람 속에서도 어우러져 살아가듯이, 우리 사람들 또한 삭막하고 고독한 여정 속에서도 활력과 기쁨을 느끼고 저마다 아름다운 삶의 모습들을 발견하고 힘껏 영위해 나아갈 수 있기를 응원하며, 모든 위로와 휴식이 필요한 이들을 위해 "빛과 꽃의 정원"에 자리를 마련하였다.

We living busy days need comfort and rest. It is truely great that a human lives his whole life since he was born into the world. In addition to countless hardships and deep solitude, the harshness of livelihood that can only be continued by securing a kind of place in a life that is maintained only by communicating with other people... ● The web of society, which leads to countless connections, is thought to bind us like a trap woven with invisible threads. ● Where can we get comfort in hard living our daily lives for various reasons? Of course, there may be many ways, but I think one of them is to take rest and comfort from the beautiful nature. ● As in the TV program "I am a Natural Person," which is loved by viewers these days, it is really gracious that nature gives us consolation and vitality. Nature not only provides us rest and comfort, but also replenishes our damaged bodies and minds with new life vitality and gives us the strength to sustain our lives by recharging our original energy. ● The title "The Garden of Lights and Flowers" can also be thought as an extension of such nature. Each can have a secret garden. If you analyze the existence of light that allows beautiful flowers to bloom separately, you can see that it is also a kind of beautiful being like flowers. ● The works of "The Garden of Lights and Flowers" attempted to express another level of sublimation, forgiveness, reconciliation, new courage and humility about life by acknowledging joy, anger, love, hate, and desire in human life as they are. ● These works contain the trial to discover and express the mysterious existence of each flower as a microcosm, and the appearance of the flower as a creature and personality, not just the appearance of the flower itself. ● As opposed to all combinations of colors becoming dark, I intended to express the light that all combinations of light colors becoming nothing, as a fundamental cosmic existence by shaping abstractly using each images that dispersed rainbow colors gives me. ● Just as the light falls down invisibly onto living things and encourages the power of life, it is intended to express how much comfort and the power for life are also given to humans by the light as a being that exists but is not visible. ● Just as light and flowers live in harmony in the wind, I cheer for, our people also feel vitality and joy in the midst of a desolate and lonely journey of life, and discover their own beautiful lives and lead them. ● For those all who need comfort and rest, I have prepared a place in this "The Garden of Lights and Flowers." ● Look up at the sky. / I see gray clouds. / Between them, up and up, in and in / The white, fluffy clouds / look like flesh at several glances. // Even while we don't realize it / Those clouds have been / Covering us and protecting... // Without those clouds / Like we can't live... // If someone doesn't take care of / Can't we live, either I wonder...
