기억의 색 Colors of Memory

나의 작업은 아주 사적인 기억의 기록이다. ● 기억이란 나를 관통하여 지나는 찰나들의 축적이다. 살아나고 사라지는 삶의 기억을 단순하고 반복적인 작업을 통하여 화면에 기록한다. 지면에 붓이 닿는 순간, 그 찰나에 몰입하며 붓을 움직여 움직임의 흔적을 남긴다. 흔적에 또다시 흔적을 올리며 기억의 색을 찾아가는 작업이다. ● 아득히 멀고 먼 밤하늘을 바라보던 유년시절. 달빛 윤슬 은은했던 호수. 지난 봄, 차창 밖으로 짧게 흔들리며 지나치는 봄 숲을 기억하며... ● 붓을 들어 선으로 작은 동그라미를 키우며 아주 사적인 존재(삶)의 기억을 기록한다. ● 친구와 점심을 먹고 찔레꽃이 피어 있는 골목길을 걸었다. ● 미루나무 새잎들이 햇빛과 바람에 반짝이는 봄 숲. ● 바람이 불고 길가에 핀 코스모스가 살랑이던 저녁산책. 잔잔한 호수와 벚꽃이 한창이던 어느 봄날의 아침산책. ■ 이향미

My work is a record of profoundly personal memories. ● Memories are the accumulation of fleeting moments that pass through me. Through simple and repetitive actions, I capture the emerging and fading memories of life on the canvas. As the brush touches the surface, I immerse myself in that moment and move the brush to leave traces of motion. It's a journey to find the hues of memory by layering traces upon traces. ● Remembering my childhood, gazing at the night sky far beyond reach. And the gleaming lake, with moonlight's gentle touch. And the vibrant forest, with a brief glimpse out the car window last spring… ● Picking up the brush and drawing small circles with lines, I record the memories of a very personal existence/life. ● Having lunch with a friend, I strolled down an alley with wild roses in bloom. ● A spring forest with new cottonwood leaves glistening in the sunshine and wind. ● An evening walk with the wind blowing and cosmos flowers swaying softly along the roadside.
