꿈과 현실, 그 상상의 경계를 넘어서

제주현대미술관은 2007년 9월 개관한 이후, 2023년 현재까지 총 618점의 작품을 소장 중이다. 지난 2021년부터 본관의 소장품전과 함께 공공수장고에서는 실감미디어 영상전시를 동시에 운영하며 소장품을 소개하는 장을 다각적으로 마련하고 있다. ● 살아있는 작품전 Ⅱ 『꿈과 현실, 그 상상의 경계를 넘어서』는 제주현대미술관 소장품을 중심으로 연출한 실감 미디어아트 전시로, 첫 번째 전시인 2021년의 살아있는 작품전 Ⅰ『제주의 자연, 현대미술을 품다』에 이어 2023년 새롭게 선보인다. 총 87점의 소장품이 활용되어 자연과 예술, 인간과 공간이 조화롭게 어우러진 몰입형 영상이 약 10분간 상영된다.

실감미디어 영상에서는 바람, 빛과 어둠 같은 자연의 거대한 움직임과 다채로운 변화가 보이고, 회색 빛 도시 속에서 현시대를 살아가는 사람들의 모습이 흥미로운 움직임과 함께 연출된다. 또한, 누구나 머물고 싶은 곳, 살고 싶은 곳에 대한 인간의 소망을 담은 생명력 가득한 자연과 예술작품으로 이뤄진 낙원의 풍경이 전개된다. ● 시각과 촉각, 청각을 자극하는 영상에 몰입하여 깊은 영감과 사색을 경험하며 제주의 자연과 예술작품이 주는 감동의 순간에 흠뻑 빠져보자. As of 2023, the Jeju Museum of Contemporary Art has collected a total of 618 works since its opening in September 2007. The museum has held exhibitions using its collection since 2021, including immersive media exhibitions in the Public Storage for Artworks and various events held to introduce its collection. ● Artworks Alive Ⅱ, Dreams and Realities, Beyond the Boundaries of the Imagination is an immersive media art exhibition based on a collection of the Jeju Museum of Contemporary Art. This newly showcased edition for 2023 follows the first exhibition held in 2021, Artworks Alive I, Jeju Nature, Embraces Contemporary Art. A total of eighty-seven pieces from the museum collection will be used to produce immersive images spanning around ten minutes that harmoniously blend nature, art, humans, and space. ● In the immersive media video, viewers can see the expansive movements and diverse changes in nature, such as the wind, light, and darkness, while people living in gray cities in the present day are depicted through intriguing movements. In addition, a landscape of paradise comprising nature and works of art filled with vitality unfolds, which depicts the human yearning for a place where everyone desires to stay and live. ● Immersing yourself in images that stimulate your sight, touch, and hearing, experience deep inspiration and contemplation.
