Debris-3rd edition 부유하는 자아

나의 작업은 무의식 속에서 코드화(encoding)된 기억이미지를 하나하나 해체하고 재구성하는 것이다. 이는 마치 뒤얽힌 실타래를 풀어서 다시 되감듯, 부유하는 기억의 흔적을 분해하는 과정이라 할 수 있다. 이러한 과정은 잠재된 기억의 층위와 또 다른 경계의 층위가 서로 합치고 쪼개어지면서 변형되는 가변적인 구조로 어떠한 교차지점에서 중첩되거나 파열되어 끊임없이 탈코드화(decoding)로 증식되어 간다. 나는 이러한 존재방식을 토대로 이미 고정된 레퍼토리를 랜덤으로 추출하고 다시 코딩방식으로 확장해 나가는 일련의 과정을 통해 진정한 자아와 조우할 수 있다. ● 이렇듯 나에게 본질은 고정되는 것이 아닌 열린 상태에서 끊임없이 재조립되는 그 무엇으로 보여지고 있다. ■ 송협주

Debris - 3rd edition - A floating self ● My work consists in deconstructing and reconstructing each image of memories that had been encoded in the unconsciousness. In other words, this can be considered a process of disassembling the traces of floating memories as if to disentangle the tangled skein and wind it again. What is revealed in this process is the variable things that are transformed, deconstructed and concealed while the level of memories latent in the interiority is combined and separated with/from other levels of boundary. In addition, during the process of overlapping and rupturing in a certain intersection, it is incessantly given new significance to proliferate into the process of decoding. Like this, the way of my existence is seen not as something that is fixed but as something that is constantly reassembled in an open state. ● Therefore, I will be able to meet my true self through a series of process of extracting the fixed repertoire at random and later expanding into a coding method again. ■ Song, Hyeopju
