『HRD 전람회』는 예술과 그 주변부에서 일어나는 '창작-노동'과 관련한 현상들을 조사, 관찰하여 예술과 사회, 창작자의 신체와 정신 사이의 관계를 파악해 보고자 한다. 이는 근본적으로 우리는 왜 예술을 생산하는가? 그 가치는 무엇으로 측정하는가? 그리고 예술 활동은 어떻게 지속 가능하며, 그 실패는 또 어떻게 극복할 수 있는가?에 대한 질문들과 연결되어 있다. 이 프로젝트는 동시대 창작자들과 함께 인터뷰, 토론, 신체활동 등 다양한 방법을 통해 각자의 창작활동을 바라보며 일련의 질문에 대한 답을 찾아나가는 과정을 담고 있다. ● 『HRD 워크숍』에서는 참여자의 인터뷰를 바탕으로 예술 창작의 동기와 동력에 관한 신체적 감각을 공유하며, 지각과 움직임을 통해 이 감각을 활성화하는 운동 방식을 프로토콜 형태로 만들어본다. 다양한 분야에 종사하는 예술 창작자와 안무가, 운동 지도자, 작가가 함께 모여 대화와 토론을 통해 창작과 연관된 특정 신체, 감각을 활성화시키는 운동을 고안해 나가며 동작을 통해 사고의 재배선을 시도한다.

『HRD 워크숍』은 총 3회로 나누어 진행되며 1부 『질문과 발견』에서는 창작활동의 동기와 작업관, 가치판단에 대한 상호인터뷰를 하며 2부『동작을 통한 자각』에서는 1부에서 발견된 창작의 동기와 동력을 신체적 자각을 통해 각자의 맞춤형 운동(HRD 레시피)을 만들어본다. 마지막 3부는 워크숍을 통해 만들어진 다양한 'HRD 레시피'를 참여자들이 직접 수행해 보는 시간을 갖는다. 여기서 개발된 신체 활동은 '움직임을 통한 자각'에 중점을 둔 신체조절요법인 펠든 크라이스 기법(Feldenkrais Method)'을 참고한다. ● 이샘은 그동안 수행적이거나 참여적인 작업을 지속해 오며 일상의 공간에서 경험되었다가 사라지는 특성을 지닌 프로젝트를 꾸준히 진행해왔다. 이러한 과정을 겪으며 작가는 보이는 것과 경험하는 것의 형식적 특성에 대해 고민하며 가시적인 것과 비가시적인 것, 가상과 실재적 경험 사이를 엮는 의식-언어-행위의 관계를 이번 전시를 통해 새롭게 풀어내보고자 한다. ■ 이샘

HRD워크숍: 질문과 발견 - 진행: 이샘(작가) - 일시: 온라인 개별 진행 - 예술 창작 작업의 가치와 가치측정 방식, 그리고 동기와 동력에 관한 대화. 질문과 대답을 통해 자신이 모르고 있던 부분을 발견하게 되는 방식을 응용한 심층 인터뷰를 통해 숨은 동기를 파악하고 가치를 측정하고 부여하는 다양한 방법 및 기준에 대해 이야기 나눈다. * 참여자에게는 사전 질문지가 사전에 전달 될 예정입니다. **1, 2부『HRD 워크숍』을 연속 신청하는 참여자는 자신만의 *HRD 레시피 만들기를 위한 좀 더 심도깊은 교류의 시간을 가질 수 있습니다.

#2. HRD 워크숍: 동작을 통한 자각 - 패널: 허윤경(안무가), 이샘(작가) - 일시: 2021. 1. 28. 2 - 5 pm 창작의 동력에 관한 자신만의 맞춤형 운동법(HRD 레시피)을 만들기. 안무가(허윤경), 휄든크라이스 지도자(왕혜인) 과 함께 모여 대화와 토론을 통해 각자의 창작과 연관된 특정 신체, 감각을 활성화 시키는 운동을 고안해 나가며 동작을 통해 사고의 재배선을 시도해 본다.

#3. HRD 워크숍: 사고, 언어와 신체 - 진행: 이샘(작가) - 일시: 2021. 1. 30. 11 - 1 pm - HRD 레시피를 통한 신체활동 앞서의 워크숍을 통해 만들어진 다양한 'HRD 레시피'를 직접 수행해보며 창작 과정의 경험을 공유한다. 이 과정에서 사고, 언어, 신체와 동작의 관계성을 함께 탐구한다.

The HRD exposition examines and observes the phenomenon of creative labour that occurs in art and at its related ecosystem, attempting to uncover the relationships between art and society, and the body and mind of the artist. Fundamentally, this is linked to questions about why we create art? How do we measure its value? How can creative activity be sustainable, and how can failures be overcome? The project is a process of finding answers to such questions in context of the creative labour of various contemporary creatives - through interviews, discussions and physical activities. ● In the exhibition's associated program of HRD Workshops, the awareness of the motivation for art creation is shared, through an exercise protocol that activates this sense through perception and movement. Artists, creatives from various fields, choreographers, and exercise instructors assemble, and alongside discussion and dialogue, attempt to redefine their thinking through movement that activates specific sensations and physical aspects related to each creative process. ● Workshops progress through three sessions. Part 1 is an interactive interview on motivations for pursuing creative activity, work perspectives, and value judgments. Part 2 takes the time to devise a customised physical exercise (or "HRD recipe") through an appreciation of the physical awareness of the motivations and drive for creation explored in Part 1. Finally, in Part 3 experiences of the creative process are shared by directly performing various HRD recipes created through the workshops. ● Saem Lee's practice is concerned with the space between visual and interdisciplinary arts, performative or participatory work, and project-based activity. A consistent theme is that characteristics of a work disappear after being experienced in everyday spaces. Through such a process, we consider the formal characteristics of what we see and experience, and try to unravel the relationship between consciousness, language and behaviour that intertwines the experience of the real and virtual. ■ LEESAEM
