빈 상점 Shop of Emptiness

2018-2019년도 청주미술창작스튜디오는 입주기간동안 작품 성과물을 프로젝트 형식으로 선보이는 아티스트 릴레이 전시를 진행한다. 아티스트 릴레이 전시는 스튜디오 전시장에서 그간 작업했던 결과물에 대한 보고전시로 해마다 작가 자신의 기존의 성향과 틀에서 벗어난 새로운 감각과 역량을 보여주는 전시로 진행된다. ● 12기 여덟 번째 릴레이 전시로 유숩 하지페조비치 작가의 『빈 상점 Shop of Emptiness』展이 오는 2018년 12월 20일부터 2019년 1월 6일까지 1층 전시실에서 개최된다. 또한 전시개막 행사는 12월 20일 목요일 오후 5시에 청주미술창작스튜디오 로비에서 진행된다. ■ 청주미술창작스튜디오

어떤 의미도 지니지 않는 나의 비회화 작품에 관하여 ● 판지 상자위에 작업하는 나의 작업은 예술작품이 아니다. 버려진 판지상자 위의 움푹 들어간 곳은 상품이 제조업자로부터 소비자에게로 운송될 때 생긴 것인데, 'Marked Emptiness' 는 그렇게 패인 곳에 물감을 채우는 나의 개입에 의해 만들어진다. 'Marked Emptiness' 라 한 나의 작업의 과정으로, 나는 소비 상품이 있는 곳들로 관객의 주의를 끌어들이고자했고, 무수한 상품과 포장 더미들에 의미를 부여하고자 했다. 상품이 자리했던 흔적이 남아있는 판지상자는 물감으로 채워지는 나의 개입만이 있는 상자일 뿐 그 이상은 아무것도 아니다. 그 것은 사전준비 없이 거의 아무것도 아닌 초라한 재료를 사용하고자한 나의 선택이었다. 그리고 미적인 것은 가능한 한 피하고자 했다. ■ 유숩 하지페조비치

About non-painting or work which has no significance ● My work on cardboard boxes is not an art-work. The Marked Emptiness is created by my intervention on discarded carton boxes by filling the paint into the recesses on the cardboards, which were created in the transport of goods from the manufacturer to the consumer. With my cycle of work called Marked Emptiness, I intended to draw the attention to the observer of the places where the consumer goods resided, and point out to the endless production and accumulation of packaging. The carton box where the traces of the product are filled with the paint is a carton box with my intervention and nothing more, which was my decision, almost out of nothing, using poor materials, without preliminary preparation, and aesthetics is avoided as much as aesthetics can be avoided. ■ Jusuf Hadžifejzović
