The conversation

아트사이드 갤러리는 2018년 첫 기획전으로, 『The conversation』전을 개최하여 풍부한 상상력과 개성적인 표현방식으로 국내외 활발한 활동을 전개해 나가고 있는 젊은 작가 김수연, 최수인, 한진 등 3인의 작품을 선보인다.

매체의 변환과정(평면-입체-평면)을 통해 회화에서 대상이 되는 실체에 대해 탐구하는 김수연 작가, 인간의 소통과 관계에서 외부 세계의 자극이나 요구에 자아의 내면이 조응하지 못하는 심리적 마찰을 회화의 형식으로 보여주는 최수인 작가, 현실을 감각하고 기억을 지속시키는 것을 청각적 감각으로 접근하면서 어떤 장소에서의 경험, 기억되는 소리와 움직임을 회화로 표현하는 한진 작가. ● 이 세 작가들은 자신의 경험, 혹은 사회적 관계, 일련의 예술적 실험 과정을 통해 다층적인 의미를 담아 작업하며 다양한 표현방식으로 '대화하기'를 시도해 왔다. 다시 말해, 개인적인 일상과 경험, 이로부터 발생되는 감정, 사회의 구성원으로서 타인과의 관계 맺기, 그리고 예술로써 대화하고 소통 과정 속에서 작업을 완성해 나가는 것이다. 더불어, 이들의 참신한 작업들은 창조적 해석의 가능성을 무한히 만들어냄으로써, 감상자와의 대화와 교감을 기대해 볼 수 있다.

Artside Gallery is holding its first exhibition of 2018, "The Conversation," which presents the works of three young artists, Kim Suyeon, Choi Suin, and Han Jin. They are all artists who create works with rich imagination and unique expressions, and are working actively both at home and abroad. ● Kim Suyeon explores reality, which is the object of painting, through a process of media conversion (turning a plane into a three-dimensional form, and then into a plane again). Choi Suin describes through the form of painting a psychological friction when an inner-self fails to correspond to the demand or stimulation of the outer world in terms of relationships and communication among humans. In addition, Han Jin, approaching the act of sensing reality and keeping memory with the sense of hearing, expresses an experience of a place or a sound or motion in memory in the form of painting. ● These three artists all have tried 'to make a conversation' in diverse expression methods as they have created their works containing multiple meanings in them by reflecting on their experiences, observing social relationships, or conducting a process of artistic experiment. In other words, they make their works from their daily experiences and the emotions from such things, relationships with others as a member of society, or the process of conversing with others as art. As their fresh pieces bear the possibility to be interpreted creatively and infinitely, it is expected that the viewer will be able to deeply talk and commune with them through this exhibition. ● As this exhibition introduces these three young artists who express 'conversation through art' in their own mode of communication, the viewer can have an opportunity through which they can feel a space full of fresh ideas, rich sensitivity, and vigorous energy. ■ GALLERY ARTSIDE
