아주 아주 가까운 옛날에 지구의 한쪽 편에 바나나 나라가 있었어요.

어느 천둥 번개가 치던 날, 바나나 살 속을 파고드는 우박이 떨어지던 날, 그 나라의 공주가 태어났어요. 바나나 나라 공주는 태어나서부터 바나나 농장 노동자들이 키우고 하녀들이 곱게 갈아 바친 바나나 쥬스를 먹고 자랐어요. 바나나 나라 왕과 왕비는 좀 더 큰 행복과 욕망을 따라 돌연변이 바나나 숲에 들어갔다 실종됐어요. 바나나 나라 공주는 혼자 외롭게, 그렇지만 농부들이 기른 바나나를 먹으며 편하게 살고 있었어요.

그러던 어느 날 옆 마을 딸기 농장 주인과 그의 딸이 바나나 숲에 찾아 왔죠. 딸기 농장 주인과 그의 딸은 "우리가 이 나라의 바나나를 더 크게 만들어 줄 수 있다"고 장담했어요. 아무런 노력 없이도 바나나를 실컷 먹어 온 공주는 바나나는 스스로 자란다고 생각해서 거부했지만 곧 물과 햇빛과 양분과 보살핌이 필요하다는 걸 알게 됐죠. 그래서 그들과 손을 잡고 셋은 같이 살게 됐어요. 그때부터 바나나 농장에는 이상한 일들이 생겼어요 예전에는 바나나를 키워 희망을 나누던 바나나 농장 농부들은 그들 자신이 돌연변이화 되어간다고 느꼈어요.

딸기 농법을 쓰면서 농장에서 자라야 할 바나나가 농부들의 얼굴에서 자라났어요.

바나나 공주 주변의 대신들과 그를 돕는 사람들의 얼굴에선 더 큰 바나나가 자라났어요. 농민들의 얼굴에는 작은 바나나가 자라나기 시작했고요. 공주는 대신들이 얼굴에서 바나나를 키우는 건 허락했지만 농부들의 얼굴에서 자라나는 바나나는 탐탁지 않았어요.

욕심이 점점 커진 공주는 "단바나나령"을 내렸어요. 농민들의 얼굴에 있는 바나나는 모조리 자르라는 명령이었죠. 경찰과 군인들은 지나가는 사람들 얼굴의 바나나를 아무 때나 아무데서고 잘라서 길과 버스와 지하철 안은 피로 물들어갔어요.

사람들 얼굴의 노란 바나나는 잘려 나갔지만 새로운 바나나 싹이 그 자리에 자라났어요

그 바나나는 점점 빨갛게 자라났어요. 그 안엔 공주가 모르는 힘이 자라고 있었어요. 그 힘은 점점 세져서 거칠 것이 없고 차츰 하나로 모이기 시작해서 스스로를 태우며 자신들을 지키고 있었어요. 결국엔 바나나 공주와 그 일당들은 거침없이 진화하고 퍼져나가는 붉은 바나나들에 의해 구석으로 몰렸어요.

바나나 나라 공주는 부모가 사라진 검은 바나나 숲으로 들어갔어요. 그리고 며칠 후 바나나 나라를 덮고 있던 보라색 구름은 걷히고 새로운 해가 떠올랐어요. 그 해는 아홉 개나 됐어요. 이제 바나나 나라 사람들은 바나나를 키우기 위해 하나의 해를 바라보지 않아도 돼요. 자기가 보고 싶은 해를 바라보며 자신의 얼굴에 자라나는 바나나를 키울 수 있어요.

The Princess of Banana Country " The kingdom of heoeoeong " ● Once upon a time, there was Banana Country on one side of the earth. ● A Princess was born one day, when it was lightning, thundering and hailing penetrate deep into the banana. The Princess was raised by banana farm workers and grew up eating pure banana juice made by maids. ● The King and Queen went into the mutated banana woods in pursuit of greater happiness and desire, and went missing. The Princess was left all alone, but was leading a comfortable life by eating bananas that farmers grew. ● Then one day, a strawberry farm owner and his daughter living in the next village visited the banana woods They said with confidence that they could produce bigger bananas. As the Princess had been eating bananas as much as she could without making any effort, she refused the offer at first, thinking that bananas could keep themselves growing, but soon realized that they need water, sunlight and nutrients to grow. So she decided to cooperate with them and started living together Since then, strange things happened to the banana farm. The farmers in the banana farm who used to share their hopes and dreams by growing bananas now began to feel that they are mutating. ● As they used the strawberry farming method, bananas started growing on farmers' faces instead of growing in the farm. ● Officials and servants who are close to the Princess had bigger bananas growing on their faces. On the other hand, farmers started to see smaller bananas growing on their faces. The Princess allowed the officials to grow bananas on their faces, but she didn't like bananas growing on farmers' faces ● As the Princess became greedy, she declared "The ordinance prohibiting Banana" It was an order to cut all the bananas off of farmers' faces. The policemen and soldiers cut bananas off of all the faces of people pass by anytime and anywhere, which made roads, buses and the subway covered with blood. ● While yellow bananas were cut off from the people's faces, new banana sprouts were coming up from the same spot. ● As the bananas grew, they turned redder. Inside the bananas, there was power growing that Princess was not aware of. The power became stronger and started to merge into one, protecting itself by burning itself. Eventually, the Princess and the people were forced into a corner as red bananas evolved and spread rapidly. The Princess decided that it would be better not to remain here any longer. ● The Princess went into the dark banana woods where her parents vanished. A couple of days later, the violet clouds that covered Banana Country were cleared and a new sun rose. In fact, there were nine suns in the sky. Now the people in Banana Country don't need to rely on a single sun in order to grow bananas. Now they can look up at whichever sun they want and grow bananas on their faces. ■ Lee Min Hyuk
