Incheon ian

『인천사람』은 두 작가가 바라본 인천의 모습과 사람을 담담히 기록한 전시다. 길다래, 함정식 작가는 인천에서 태어나 서울과 일본 프랑스 등지에서 생활하다 2015년 인천아트플랫폼의 입주 작가로 처음 만났다. 또 인천사람을 만났다는 당혹감과 안도감으로 함께 기획전시를 여러 차례 진행하며 서로의 작업을 알아가던 중 인천사람에 대한 적극적인 관심과 인천지역의 생경한 혹은 일상적인 모습을 작업으로 발전시키기 위해 이 전시를 기획하게 되었다. 평소 다양한 지역과 사람의 정서에 관심을 갖고 작업하는 길다래와 고향인 인천을 오히려 타인인 객으로서 바라보고 있는 함정식의 시선이 결합되어 인천과 그 사람의 모습을 시니컬하게(긍정도 부정도 아닌 의미로써의 냉소) 그려낼 생각이다.■ 길다래

『Incheonain』 is an exhibition that calmly records the picture of Incheon and Incheonian from the viewpoint of two artists. The artists, Gil Darae and Ham Jeong-Sik both were born in Incheon and lived in Seoul, Japan and France. They first met as artists of IncheonArtplatform in Incheon 2015. I was both embarrassed and got relief of meeting another artist from Incheon, we got to know each other while doing the exhibitions several times together. And I planned this exhibition to come to develop active interest in Incheonian and unusual or daily life of Incheon. The artist Gil darae who works with interest in various regions and people's feeling, and the another artist Ham Jeong-Sik who feels himself as a stranger in his hometown Incheon. We are planning to draw up the picture of Incheon and Incheonian cynically(Cynicism that neither positive nor negative) with the viewpoint of two artists. ■ Gil darae
