이 작업은 나에게 있어 시적인 예술실천이다. 묻지 않은 질문에 대한 대답이고 내면과 연결시키는 독립적인 기록이며, 작은세계를 이해하는 단서가 되었던 혼돈의 흔적들이다. 지극히 개인적인 경험과 사유에서 시작하여 깊은 의식과 긴밀히 연결된 세계를 찾고 독립성을 지키는 방식이다. 균일화된 시선에서 벗어나 진짜 자신의 세계를 발견하고 지속시키는 탐색의 시간이다. 또한 매일 망각하고 어제와 같은 곳을 헤매지 않기 위한 기도와도 같으며 이 순간을 더욱 깊이 포착하고자 천천히 호흡하는 수련과도 같다.

지속적으로 이어지는 이러한 일상기록은 삶에 있어 하찮게 여겨지는 사물조차 다르게 관찰하며 세상을 바라보는 태도이다. 매 순간의 풍경과 사물들, 고정된 흔적들을 일상성의 탐구로 끌어들여 삶의 대상을 적극적으로 이해하고 해석해내는 것이다. 이렇게 복잡하게 연결된 삶의 파편들을 낯설게 마주할 때 시간은 보잘 것 없는 현상으로부터 벗어나 새로운 가치로써 확장해 갈 것이다. 그리하여 다시 삶 속에서 변동성을 가지는 동시에 현재를 비추는 인식의 요소로 자라날 것이라 믿는다. 보이는 세계는 보이지 않는 세계로부터 온 것임을, 이해하고 표현하는 것에 지속적인 관심을 두고 있다. ■ 이지선

This work is a form of poetic artistic practice. It is the answer to an unasked question, an independent record connecting to the interior, traces of the chaos that served as a clue to understanding a minor world. Its method began out of exceedingly personal experiences and thoughts, finding a world that was closely tied to deep consciousness, and preserving independence. It is a time of exploration, for escaping uniform perspectives and discovering and sustaining a world that is truely one's own. It is also like a prayer each day not to forget, not to roam today in the same places as yesterday, and like an exercise of slow breathing to capture those moments more deeply. ● This ongoing string of daily records represents a stance on the world, taking a different look at even those objects in life that are seen as trivial. It is a matter of taking those moment-to-moment landscapes and objects, the fixed traces, and interpreting the subjects of life. Once we see the strangeness in these intricately linked fragments of life, time becomes more than just a minor phenomenon, expanding instead into a new value. And, I believe, It will grow once again to become an element of perception, one that possesses variability in life while also reflecting the present. I have long had an interest in understanding and expressing how the seen world emerged from the unseen world. ■ LEEJISUN
