'Beauty' and 'Happiness'. 내가 바라는 삶의 모습이다. 그러나 현실은 고독과 완성되지 않은 것 들에 대한 갈증속에 허덕이곤 한다. 바램과 현실속의 간극을 나는 항상 그림으로 채워 나간다.

어릴적 깊은 바닷속을 헤엄치며 보았던 '컷' 들은 늘 머릿속에 부유물과 같이 흘러다닌다. 가장 아름답지만 비현실적인 모습들... 기억속의 바닷속 모습과 이미지들은 내 감정의 메타포가 되어 행복한 판타지를 창조해 낸다. 나의 무의식은 알 수 없는 깊은 심연과도 같고, 외부로 표출되는 생각과 감정들은 각양각색의 신비로운 바닷생물들의 에너제틱한 움직임과 닮았다. 나의 그림을 통해 어쩌면 닿을 수 없는 바다의 아름다움과 완전한 행복 속을 유영하며 내 그림을 보는 이들과 잠시나마 환상여행을함께하고싶다. ■ 김진형

'Beauty'and 'Happiness'. These are two words that represent my ideals. In reality, I struggle in solitude and thirst that stems from unfinished things. I fulfill the gap between the ideals and the reality by painting. The scenes of the deep sea from my childhood drift about in my head like particles of dust. Most beautiful, yet most unrealistic. The images of the deep sea from my memories become the metaphor of my emotions and it creates a blissful fantasy. My subconscious is like an unfathomable abyss and my expressive thoughts and emotions resemble the energetic movements of the mysterious sea creatures. Through my paintings, I would like to travel with my viewers in the unreachable beauty and complete happiness of the deep sea. ■ Lina Jinhyung Kim
