성낙진 작가는 남성 패션을 모티브로 한국의 댄디한 남성들의 라이프스타일을 그림으로 표현하고 있습니다. 그림을 통해 패션에서 문화로 나아가기 위하여 기록하고 알리는 작업을 진행중입니다. ● 이번 전시는 성낙진 작가의 "클래시 데이즈 (Classy Days)" 작품집을 기반으로 기획 되었으며 멋쟁이 남성의 1주일간의 에피소드를 일러스트 작품과 함께 남성만의 공간을 표현할 수 있는 브랜드 살롱드 잭 (밤브 바버샵, 잭다니엘스), 남성 수제화 브랜드 로스트가든, 스콜라자로 꾸며집니다. ● 성낙진 작가는 "특별한 사회경제적 여유를 가지고 있지 않아도 멋쟁이로 살 수 있고, 평범한 하루 하루를 살아가는 이들에게 '멋 부리기'는 깨어 있기 위한 능동적 움직임이다."라고 말합니다. 한국 멋쟁이를 알리고 한국 남성을 계몽하는 프로젝트를 이어가고 싶다는 작가의 바람이 전달되길 바랍니다. ■ 롯데갤러리

Having men's fashion as motive, NJ Sung's work illustrates dandy lifestyles of Korean men in the digital drawing format. In order to transcend from fashion to culture, he's in the process of reporting and publicizing his pieces. ● Based on the artist's "Classy Days" collection, this exhibition will display episodes of a stylish guy's week in digital prints and a collage of gentlemen's brands: Salon de Jack including Bombmme Barber Shop and Jack Daniel's, men's handmade shoe brand Lost Garden and leather specialty brand Mascolanza devoted only for men's taste will be featured. ● Artist NJ Sung says, "Even without high socioeconomic statues, one can still be fashionable and for those living normal everyday lives 'grooming' is an active gesture to stay alert."
