새하얀 진실-새빨간 거짓말 그 이후 : 매우 선명하고 생생한 진실 ● 2008년, 『새빨간 거짓말』 展이 있었다. 이 전시는 빨강과 거짓말이라는 매혹적이고 치명적인 성향을 드러냈었다. 『새빨간 거짓말』 展은 전시 그룹 [흥]의 일부 작가들이 작가-주체로써 색과 깊이를 더해가고자 했던 시도이자, 미술 신에서 상대적으로 드러나지 않았고 보여지지 않았던 스스로가 자신들의 공간을 만들어 나가고자 행했던 실천이었다. 2016년은 『새빨간 거짓말』 전 이후 10년이 되는 해이다. 그 당시 학생 또는 작가 지망생이었던 그들이 오늘날 부산 미술 신에서 중요한 인물이자 그것을 떠받치고 있는 긴요한 주춧돌로 자리하게 되었다. "그들의 시도와 실천이 오늘날의 그들을 만들지 않았을까?"하는 의문이 제기되었고 바로 이것이 『새하얀 진실』展 기획의 출발점이 된다. 애석하게도 이러한 자생적 실천들이 지금의 우리 미술 현장에서 점점 더 사라져가고 있다. 따라서 바로 지금 이들이 걸어온 길을 되짚어 보는 것이 지금의 우리들에게 꼭 필요하며 그로부터 다시 우리 미술의 현장에 새로운 시도와 실천들이 생겨날 수 있지 않을까. ● 갤러리 2층은 『새하얀 진실』 展의 부제가 '매우 선명하고 생생한 진실'인 것처럼 작가-주체가 지금-여기에서 자신을 가장 잘 드러낼 수 있는 작업들로 공간을 구성한다. 4층 전시장에는 『새하얀 진실』 展에 참여하는 작가들의 지난 10년간의 작업 활동을 돌아 볼 수 있는 아카이브 展을 통해 참여 작가의 프로필, 성향 및 작업을 한 눈에 볼 수 있도록 구성된다. 또한 이와 연계되어 이루어지는 『인디 고(투 더) 블루』 展 (2016.04.23-05.15)의 참여 작가들의 포트폴리오를 함께 전시 전시함으로 해서 2008년 그들과 같은 모습으로 있는 작가들과 그 작업을 미리, 그들과 함께 드러내고자 한다. ● 2008년 미술 현장에서 일탈에 가까운 것 그리고 하나의 매혹으로써, 『새빨간 거짓말』 展이 있었다면 지금-여기에는 그 시간을 살아낸 깊이 있는 두께를 가진 몸으로써 작가들과 그들의 삶의 두께로서 드러낸 『새하얀 진실』 展이 있다.

인디 고 (투 더) 블루-푸른 봄이라는 이름으로 ● 『인디 고(투 더) 블루』(이하 인디 고 블루) 展의 작가군은 『새하얀 진실』 展의 참여 작가들로부터 각각 3명씩을 추천받아 구성된다. 인디(indie, independent)는 아직 상대적으로 열악한 환경에 속한 작가들이지만, 어떠한 곳에 자리 잡지 않았기 때문에 오히려 독립적인 성향을 가지고 작업을 해나갈 수 있는 작가들을 뜻한다. '푸름을 향한 독립(Indie go to the Blue)'은 따라서 "푸른 봄이라는 이름으로"라는 부제가 의미하듯 미술 신(scene)에서 상대적으로 드러나지 않은 아직은 젊고, 또 아직은 여물지 않은, 그러나 많은 가능성을 가진 작가들을 뜻한다. ● 10년 전 푸름의 그들이 『새빨간 거짓말』 展을 통해 오늘날의 『새하얀 진실』展에 있다. 상대적으로 열악한 곳에 위치되어 있었지만 그 자리에 머물기를 거부하고 스스로 자신들이 있을 곳을 만들어 나갔던 그들이었기에 오늘날과 같은 모습으로 자리할 수 있었다. 적어도 나는 그렇게 확신한다. 이제 이들은 자신들이 만들어 놓은 그 길을 오늘의 푸름에게 보여주며 자신들보다 조금 더 수월히 그 길을 나아갈 수 있도록 앞에서 이끈다. 『인디 고 블루』는 바로 그것을 드러내는 장이다. 미래의 오늘에 서있을 또 다른 『새하얀 진실』의 블루들을 기대하고 또한 소망한다. ■ 박은지

The White Truth-Since the exhibition of Red(downright) Lie: very vivid and clear truth ● In 2008, There was the exhibition of 『Red(down right) Lie』. The exhibition had captivation and fetal tendencies as Rad and Lie. 『Red Lie』 exhibition, is some of group [ Hung ] 's attempt to be mature and characterize as Artist-Subject, is practice to build their place in spite of they were relative invisible, and isn't relative exposed in art scene. 2016 is to turns ten year form 『Red Lie』 exhibition. At that time, they who students or would-be artists have become important people and have position as vital foundation in Busan art scene. I raised questions "Are their attempt and practice made them in these days?", and it forms the starting point of 『The White Truth』 project. It is unfortunate that these autonomous practice are gradually melting away in our art scene. Therefore it must need what revise their artworks history now, this done with, the new attempts and practice shall have open up in our art scene. ● The second floor is composed of artworks that show the best tendency for Artist-Subject in Now-Here as though this exhibition's subtitle is 'very vivid and clear truth'. The four floor is composed of archives to show profiles, tendencies, artworks of artists through working activities in the last ten years. Portfolio of artists who participate exhibition of 『Indie Go (to the) Blue』(April. 23-May. 15. 2016) that linked 『The White Truth』 also display. Through this, it reveals the artists and artworks such as them in 2008. ● There was 『Red Lie』 exhibition as thing close deviation, as captivation in 2008. In Now-Here, Now-Here, there are bodies which have thickness, lived the last time. As a result of that, there is the exhibition of 『The White Truth』. Indie go (to the) Blue-The name of Youth ● The artist group of exhibition of 『Indie go (to the) Blue』(the following Indie Go Blue) is composed with the recommendation by the artists of exhibition of 『The White Truth』. Indie (or independent) means artists who belong to relative poor surroundings just yet, who don't nestle down in somewhere, therefore make artworks with independent inclination. Therefore, 'Indie go to the Blue' means artists who aren't relative be exposed in art scene, aren't be mature just yet, but have a host of possibilities as subtitle, "The Name of Youth". ● At present, there are artists who were youth ten years ago today in exhibition of 『The White Truth』 through the exhibition of 『Red(downright) Lie』. They are situated in figure like our own because of they make the place themselves in spite of the fact that they languished in poor surroundings. At the very least, I bet my shirt on it. Now, they show today's Blue(youth) the method of road of them made and lead Blue to come to maturity easier than them. 『Inde Go Blue』 is the place to expose that.
