서울의 바람 Wind+Want in Seoul

서울에 펼쳐지는 '다중 공간'의 모습은 어떠할까? 대도시 서울 안에는 재개발의 바람, 물질적인 욕망, 건강에 대한 개인적인 소망 등 다양한 욕망과 바람이 동시에 존재한다. 과거의 서울을 채우고 있었거나 현재를 채우고 있는 여러 종류의 바람(wind+want)들은 레이어처럼 층층이 쌓여 다층구조의 도시공간을 만들고, 새로운 서울풍경 '다중 공간'이 된다. ● 전시장에는 여러 개의 투명한 막들이 복잡하게 연결되어 있다. 공간 제일 안쪽에 수묵화로 그려진 서울의 과거 모습, 그리고 노란 선들로 수놓아진 서울의 현재와 미래의 모습이 중첩되면서, 서울의 풍경, 혹은 알아볼 수 없는 추상적인 풍경들은 서울에 펼쳐진 다중 우주에 대한 상상력을 던져준다. 관람객들은 공간 안으로 걸어 들어갈수록 이미 지나온 시간과 현재, 그리고 앞으로 살아갈 서울의 미래까지 시간과 공간이동을 경험하면서 가장 아날로그적인 방법으로 가상현실을 체험하게 된다. ■ 서울시청 하늘광장 갤러리

What does a multi-space of Seoul look like? Diverse "wants" exist in Metropolis Seoul. They can be the wants of redevelopment, material wealth, or personal health. Several "wind+want*," which were filled or are filled in Seoul, are piled up like layers, and they make multi-level spaces in the city. It is the new "multi-space" of Seoul. (* Wind is pronounced as "Baram" in Korean. "Baram" also means "desire (want).") ● Several transparent layers are complicatedly connected at the exhibition venue. The past of Seoul, painted in black and white in a very inside of the venue, is overlapped by the present and the future of the city painted in yellow-colored lines. Landscapes of Seoul and its abstract landscapes provide imaginations about the multi-verse over Seoul. Visitors are able to move through space and time from the past to the present and future of Seoul once they enter the venue.
