관계 Relationship

그림은 소통을 위한 나의 언어이자 목소리이다. 나는 그림을 통해 사람들과 소통한다. 나무는 마치 사람과 같다. 나무는 수많은 가지를 치고 뻗어 나가고 서로 관련 짓게 되며 그것을 통해 감정을 드러내고 함께 이야기 한다. 현대를 살아가는 사람이라면 매 순간 '나는 누구인가'에 대한 물음을 던지는 경험을 하게 된다. 이러한 물음은 결국 '나'라는 존재는 타인과 긴밀히 연결되어 있으며 이러한 타인과의 연결을 통해 '나'의 정체성이 형성된다는 것을 인식하는 것으로 이어진다. 사회 안에서 사람들이 다양한 캐릭터들로 이해의 폭을 넓히고 여러 관계 맺음 속에서 자신을 이야기 하듯, 숲 안에서도 여러 감정을 주고받는다.

나뭇가지들은 스스로 묶여있거나 다른 나무와 뒤엉켜 있다. 시각에 따라 그것은 차단 또는 치유이다. 소통을 위한 조심스런 몸짓 또는 상대방을 무시한 채 뛰어드는 휘저음으로 보일 수 있다. 나는 상상력 속에서 합쳐지는 나무의 관계와 인간의 관계, 그것은 평면과 공간의 대립을 없애 자유로이 드나들 수 있는 가상과 현실의 세계를 종이 위에 표현한다. 그림 속의 숲을 보면서 경쾌하거나 또는 우울함 등을 자신의 언어로 표현 해 낼 수 있는 그 어떤 감정을 느꼈다면 당신은 나의 언어를 들었고 우리는 소통을 한 것이다. 나는 작업을 통해 관람객과 소통하려 한다. 그리고 질문해 본다. 그림을 본 당신은 지금 옆 나무와 어떻게 소통하고 있습니까? ■ 백수정

The Painting is my language and voice for communication. I communicate with people through it. The tree looks like a man. The tree should spread his branches and be related to each other and talk it over with emotion. You who is living in a modern can get an experience throwing the question of 'Who am I'. After all, the presence of "I" is connected closely with other and it should be contributed to the make-up of my identify through the connection to the other. People should widen the breadth of understanding of the various characters in society and talk to themselves in multiple relationships. As like this, send and receive various emotions in the forest too. Branches are tied themselves or entangled with other trees. Depending on the sight it is blocked or healing. It can be seen as careful gestures or whisking with ignoring the other side and leaping. I would express the world of imagination and reality which would be free to come and go on paper, the tree relationship and human relationship that are joined in my imagination, by eliminating the conflict between the plane and space. You heard my language and have to communicate with me when you felt some emotion which is expressed in your language with the gainliness and the depression by looking at the forest in the painting. I try to communicate with the audience through my painting and ask you a question. How do you communicate with a tree beside you who are looking at the painting? ■ BAEKSUJUNG
