Injae's Utopia Ⅴ- Heart of healing

상상 속 식물이미지를 표현한 회화 ● 본인은 식물성을 중시한다. 인간에게서 크게 마음의 상처를 입었을 때 자라나는 식물에게서 마음의 위안을 받았으며 내적 상처는 치유 되었다. 오늘날 본인과 인간에게 식물(자연)이 주는 의미는 무엇인지를 생각해 보면 문명이 발달하면서 모든 것은 기계화 되었고 우리는 자연으로의 회귀를 꿈꾼다고 볼 수 있다. 인간과 자연은 뗄 수 없는 존재이며 서로 화합하고 공생하는 관계이다. 우리는 생명의 본성, 자연의 이치, 삶의 이치를 식물성의 세계를 통해 깨닫게 된다. 식물의 탄생과 소멸은 모든 생명의 순환과 관계가 있으며 인간은 자연의 모든 존재와 긴밀한 관계를 맺고 살아간다. ● 본인의 작업은 생명 인식에 근거하여 식물(자연)의 순환을 통해 생명에 대한 근거를 마련하고, 그 과정에서 식물의 이미지를 그려냄으로 본인 마음의 상처를 치유하며, 상처를 승화시켜 행복, 즐거움, 사랑, 기쁨 등 긍정의 기운을 화면에 나타내어 보고자하는데 목적을 두었다.

원의 형상을 통해 생명 창조의 기원성, 신비성, 존재의 가변성을 설명한다. 원형은 가장 원초적인 구조를 가지고 있다. 유전적 정보를 담은 세포의 핵에서부터 태양, 지구, 달, 우주의 공전 궤도, 인체구조의 중요기관들은 원을 기초로 하며 시작과 끝, 유한과 무한 같은 순환성을 나타낸다. ● 작품의 시작은 원형의 형상을 가진 씨앗, 열매들을 반복적으로 그리는 행위를 시작으로 상상력을 극대화 시켜 본인이 꿈꾸는 유토피아를 그린다. 여기에서는 실제의 식물과 변형된 식물들이 화면에 나타난다. 이는 지상낙원이며 현실에는 존재하지 않는 공간인 것이다. 본인에게 유토피아는 냉혹한 현실 속에서 지친 이들에게 어린아이의 마음으로 꿈과 희망을 줄 수 있는 그런 세상인 것이다. ■ 고인재

Image of plants through imagination ● Plants are the main theme of my works. When I emotionally suffer, plants give me comfort and eventually cure me. Nowadays, when we consider what plants (nature) grant us human beings, it is thought that we are dreaming to return to nature because all the things are mechanized through development of human civilization. Mankind and nature are one existence that cannot be separated and they shall be harmonized through symbiotic relationship. We can recognize the property of life, reason of nature and cause of life through the world of plants. Birth and death of plants shall have a relationship with the circulation of life and mankind lives with close relationship with all the existence of nature. ● My work has purpose to prepare foundation of life through samsara of plants (nature) based on recognition of life. That is to draw images of plants through the progress of treating the injury and to overcome the damage on my heart so that positive vitality of happiness, joy, love and pleasure expressed on the pictures. ● I would like to explain the origin and mystery of life creativity and variability of existence through figure of circle. Circle is the most basic structure. As for the concept of circle, from a cell nucleus containing genetic information to the sun, earth, moon, orbit of revolution of the universe and important organs in physical body, all these things are originated basically from the figure of circle and they shall express circulation of the beginning and the ending or the limit and the infinity. ● My work begins with seeds of the figure of circle and repeated actions of drawing fruits through maximization of my imagination into the final utopia that I would like to dream. Here, practical plants and transformed ones shall be expressed on the pictures. However, this is the paradise that dose not exist in reality. As for me, the utopia would be the world where the tired people can have happy dream and hope in the mind of children even in the harsh realities of life. ■ KOINJAE
