마흔 넘어서 붓 놓긴 글렀어

어김없이 저물어가는 한 해와 찾아오는 새로운 해를 바라보며 그들은 말한다, 『마흔 넘어서 붓 놓긴 글렀어.』 세월이 흐르며 어느덧 40대의 삶을 살고 있는 12명의 작가들은 (김은진, 김정욱, 서은애, 송명진, 이다, 홍지연, 변웅필, 안경수, 윤종석, 이상선, 정재호, 정재호) 조금씩 이름을 알리며 떠오르고 있는 20, 30대 신진작가들과 입증된 실력, 명성을 바탕으로 회고전을 종종 치르고 있는 노장 작가들 사이에 서있는 무리 중 하나이다. 풋풋함과 노련함을 갖춘 이 12인의 중견작가들이 다같이 모여 서로의 근황에 대해 이야기하고 과거 자신의 초심을 기억하며 유명작가로 성장하기 위한 굳센 다짐을 하는 시간을 갖는다. 다가오는 연말을 앞두고 UNC 갤러리에서 12월 23일부터 1월 16일까지 이어지는 그들이 준비한 '파티'를 통해 쉬지 않고 불타는 그들의 열정을 확인해보는 것은 어떨까? ■ UNC 갤러리

As they stare at the setting sun of the year and the rising sun of the New Year, they say to themselves, 『As I am turning 40, it is too late to put down my brush.』 Living a life of 40s, these twelve artists stand in between the rising rookie artists in 20s, 30s and the well-known artist with much acknowledgement and fame. With freshness and years of experience, these artists gather together to share their stories and remember their past and make a promise of becoming a prominent artist.
