오묘한 소녀, 에린 Erin is subtle

인형의 이미지를 가지고 있는 주인공_Erin은 많은 것을 대신하고 있다. 꿈을 대신할 수 있는 분신과 같은 역할을 하며 초현실적인 경험의 만족감을 주기도 한다. 이미 역사에서 보여주듯 인형은 종교적_상징적_장식적 목적을 가지고 있으며 현대인에게 인형은 이루기 힘든 머나먼 현실의 꿈의 도피처이다. 어린 시절 만족함에 대한 경험의 상기라고도 할 수 있다. 현실에서 「만족」대리 충족하는 매체이기도 하다. 혼란스러운 주체의 불안감과 상태를 설명하기도하고_그 익명성에서 오는 익숙한 경험의 모방 재현이기도 하다. 인형의 이미지를 가지고 있는 주인공(Erin)은 현 사회의 익명성과 충족되지 못한 소유욕의 대변이다. 현실과 상상속의 세계의 모호함을 표방하고 있다. 인형의 형상학적 개입의 이유는 소비 사회 속에서 불만족한 욕구의 표현이다. 인간의 본성을 인형의 이미지를 가지고 있는 주인공_Erin이 제공하는 상황재현의 은유적 표현이 필요로 더 친밀해졌을 것이다. 지난 작업에서 매우 개인적이고 사적인 물건으로부터 시작된 이야기들이 인형과 닮은 인물들의 등장으로 또 다른 이야기를 이어가고 있다.

Erin은 쓴 웃음의 미소를 자주 짓고 있다. 현실은 웃고자 하지만 웃을 수 없는 상황을 시시때때로 표현한다. 인형의 모습으로 등장한 주인공(Erin)은 조금은 부자연스럽고 경직되어 보일 수 있으며_과장된 몸짓으로 다가올 수 도 있다. 몽환적이고 비현실적인_불편한 환경 속에 담겨있기도 하다. 불가능한 것을 상상하고 새로운 세계를 구축해 나가는데 인형의 이미지는 이야기를 이끄는데 큰 도움이 되는 환경이다. 인형의 이미지를 하고 있는 주인공은 우리의 모습의 투영이며 사사로운 추억을 가지고 있는 인간의 유아적 경험과 상상을 대신하고 있다. 아이들의 행동에서 「몰입」은 행동의 질의 향상을 가져오고 반복되며 유희의 즐거움을 준다. 작은 몸짓과 행동들은 감정과 표현에 서툰 나를 대신하고 있으며_지나쳐온 감정들마저 수습하고 있다. 그로 인해 새로운 세계로의 몰입을 선사한다. 이번 테마를 통해 더욱 폭넓어진 다양한 이야기를 상상하고 표현하고 싶은 욕구가 행복해지는 방법을 고민하게 하였다. 인간의 본성에 다가서는 충족된 행위-행복_Erin을 통해 실현하고자 한다. ■ 문효정

Erin_the main character whose appearance seems like a doll_represents many things. It functions like my other self_standing-in for my dream_and gives me the satisfaction of a surreal experience. As known throughout history_the doll has religious_symbolic_and decorative purposes_and it is a dreamy refugee of a distant reality that is difficult to achieve for contemporary people. It could also be a reminder of satisfactory experiences in early childhood. In reality_it is the medium that fulfills vicarious 「satisfaction」. It explains anxiety_and the state of the confused subject_and it is a mimetic representation of familiar experiences coming from the anonymity of contemporary life. ● The main character (Erin)_in the image of a doll_represents the anonymity of contemporary society and the unfulfilled desires of possession. It presents the ambiguity of reality and the imaginary world. The reason of engaging the form of the doll is to express the desire of discontent in consumer society. The human nature that Erin_the main character with the image of the doll_provides becomes more familiar by the metaphoric expression. Stories that originate from very personal and private objects in previous works continue in other stories through the emergence of figures that resemble dolls. ● Erin often smiles bitterly. Erin expresses the situation that one tries to laugh about but cannot laugh from time to time. Erin's doll-looks appear somewhat unnatural and rigid_and can come with an exaggerated gesture. This is contained in the dreamlike_unrealistic and uncomfortable environment. In order to imagine the impossible_and construct a new world_the image of the doll is very helpful to lead a story. The main character with the image of the doll is a reflection of our image_and it represents infantile experiences and the imagination of tedious memories. 「Immersion」 in the actions of children is repeated_which brings out the improvement of the quality of the action and provides the pleasure of play. The small gestures and actions substituted me – who is clumsy in expressing emotions - and they carry out the emotion that is passed by. By doing so_it gives us the immersion towards the new world. Through this theme_the desire to imagine and express the much wider stories made me contemplate how to be happy. Through Erin_I try to make the gratifying act – happiness – that reaches human nature come true. ■ MOONHYOJEONG
