미니뷰 MINIVIEW

텍스트보다는 색감, 구도, 명도, 형태이미지에 더 집중한다. 이미지 포착을 위하여 이끌림을 그냥 지나치지 않는다. 모든 작업은 도시 풍경에 관한 이미지 작업이다. 사진과 같은 느낌을 나타내기 위해 연필, 유화, 에어브러쉬 등 다양한 기법으로 뿌연 도시를 표현한다. 물론 모든 이미지의 형태는 직접 찍은 사진을 기초로 한다. 사진의 미학적 형상을 차용한 회화 작업은 예술가로써 도시문명의 허무함을 나타내고 싶은 조직화, 체계화하는 하나의 방법이다.

인간이 만든 도심 속 주요 건축물, 구조물들에 집중한다. 그것은 관객들 또한 모두 익숙한 형상들이다. 도심 속엔 한정된 이미지들이 반복된다. 인간, 빌딩, 도로와 자동차, 동상, 궁궐정도. 겨울이 되면 색감적으로 더욱 단순해진다. 그래서인지 일관성이 있고 서울이라는 도시 자체가 어느 거대한 전시회를 보는 것 이상의 강렬한 인상을 준다. 흰색의 조각품들과 수십장의 작은사이즈의 모노톤 드로잉으로 전시될 이번 작업은 관람자들이 전시를 본후 소감이나 흔적 또는 건축에 관한 드로잉 등을 흰색 건축모형조각품위에 준비된 크래용으로 자유롭게 낙서형식의 작업을하는것으로 전시를 완성한다. ■ 이혜선

My focus is more to color, composition, value and formative image than texts. For image captures, every found moment counts. All the works are imaging works about city scenery. For photo?like look, various media such as pencil, oil paint, air brush, etc. have been used when describing the opaque city. Of course, all the images are based on the photos that I took. The paintings that aesthetical forms of photography have been applied are a way of systemizing and structuralizing for an artist to show the vanity of city civilization. ● The focus is at the key buildings and structures of the man?made metropolitan. Their figures are the familiar ones to the audience also In metropolitans, only limited images are repeated. People, buildings, streets, automobiles, statues, and palaces are mostly the ones. Color wise, the city gets even more simplified in winter. That might be the reason why the city looks consistent and the city Seoul gives a strong impression beyond the impression when viewing an exhibition. ● At this exhibition, white sculptures and tens of small size mono? tone drawings will be displayed; after the audiences view the exhibition, they will get to write what they thought about the show or leave their marks or draw architectural drawings like free doodling on the white architectural model sculptures with crayons; and this is how the exhibition completes. ■ LEEHYESUN
