Animal Crew-애니멀 크루 ● 평소 천착해오던 욕망이라는 무거운 주제에서 벗어나 스스로 즐기면서 할 수 있는 가벼운 주제의 작업을 해보고 싶었다. 갈수록 짧아지는 겨울과 여름 사이 잠깐의 봄처럼 현실의 고민 사이 에서 잠깐 돋아난 이 상상들을 어떻게든 붙잡아 두어야 했다. 이것들은 휘발성이 강할뿐더러 시간이 지나면 시작조차 힘들기 때문이다. 당연히 동물을 좋아하지만 같이 지낼 수 없는 현실이다. 금붕어만으로는 충족될 수 없는 그들에 대한 애정과 관심이 머릿속에서 상상의 세계를 그려 가고 있었다. 잠재적인 스토리를 끌어 낼 수 있을 만큼 매력적인 형태를 가진 동물들을 우주선, 잠수함, 비행기, 식당, Bar 등에 결합하고 시각화 시켰다. 작품화하지 못한 수많은 동물에 대한 안타까움을 제외한다면 작업 기간 내내 즐거웠고 피로감이 없었다. 작업을 지속할수록 작가의 감정이 온전히 작품에 투영되어진다는 사실에 확신이 든다. 이번 작업 기간 동안 유쾌하고 즐겁게 유지됐던 내 감정과 상상력이 그대로 보는 이에게 전달되었으면 좋겠다.

I would like to have fun with working with light topics far from the heavy one ,desire, which I've already delved into. Just like shorter Spring between Winter and Summer, I managed to grab my short-term imaginations in the middle of worries in the daily life. That's because they are not only easily forgotten but even hard to restart afterwards. ● Many people love animals but it's not simple to live with them in reality. Affections and attentions toward them, which are not fulfilled only by goldfish, encouraged me to create my own imaginary world. I tried to visualize the features of animals as attractive as I could make countless creative stories by combining them with spaceship, submarines, airplanes, restaurants, bars, etc. I've never felt tired or bored except feeling sorry for other animals that I couldn't work with. ● As time goes by, I'm confident that the author's emotions are completely reflected in the works. Throughout the work, I truly enjoyed the entire process, hoping my pleasant emotional experience and imaginations to be delivered intactly to you. ■ JAYPARK
