훈데팽거 칼 루디 도미디안 - 독일 ● 훈데팽거는 현장에서 작업하며 로프와 칼을 제외하고는 그곳에서 직접 발견한 재료들만을 가지고 작품을 제작한다. 그는 있는 그대로의 자연에 그와는 대조적인 문명의 기호들을 만들어 놓는 식의 소소한 개입으로 자연을 재구성하는데, 그러한 미니멀한 개입은 장시간에 걸친 장소, 주변 환경, 특징들에 대한 면밀한 관찰을 전제하며 강렬한 시각적 효과를 만들어낸다.

마르코 데사르도 - 이탈리아 ● 2013년 6월 야투 원골 자연미술 레지던스의 초청작가로서 나는 예술과 자연에 대한 야투의 기본 정신에 최대한 충실하고자 한다. 이 지역이 들려주는 시와 마법, 그리고 자연과 인위적인 것의 강렬한 만남을 찾아 나는 언덕과 골짜기를 오르내리고 장애물을 건너는 등 몸이 지칠 때까지 레지던스 주변을 배회했다. 그리고 그러한 긴 여정과 그 안의 마주침들이 내게 가져다 준 기호, 소리, 이미지, 인상, 프레임, 형상, 구부러진 것들과 덩어리들을 모았다. 나는 이 수집품들을 거미줄을 치는 거미처럼, 2004년과 2006년 야투가 주최한 금강자연미술비엔날레를 위해 제작했던 두 조각 작품의 남아있는 흔적들과 함께 엮었다. 비디오 영상 「야투 작가 되기」는 그러한 과정과 그 매혹의 순간에 관한 이야기다.

Hundefaenger Karl Rudi Domidian – Germany ● HUNDEFAENGER KRD works on site and apart from rope and a knife, uses only materials he finds. He restructures nature, With small interventions he creates cultural signs that are in contrast to nature as it is. In doing this he pays attention to the location, observes the circumstances and peculiarities for a long time before undertaking his minimal interventions which then often have a great effect.

Marco Dessardo – Italy ● Invited at YATOO Wongol Nature Art Residence in June 2013, I would like to answer the best I can to YATOO's art and nature fundamental statements. Wandering in a state of exhaustion around the residence place, going up and down hills and streams, challenging obstacles, digging after the poetry and magic of the sites, provoking encounters between nature and artifice, I have collected signs and sounds, images and impressions, frames and figures, curves and volumes resulting of these peregrinations and collisions. Like a spider spins its web, I have woven this collection with hallucinations of remains of two sculptures I made in Gongju, during YATOO 2004 and 2006 biennials. The video 「becoming a YATOO artist」 is the story of this investigation and captivation. ■
