내가 보는 흰색이 남에게는 내가 보는 주황색으로 보일 수도 보라색으로 보일 수도 있을 것 같다는 생각을 한다. 모든 것은 작은 당연한 약속들과 고정관념으로 이루어지고 작가는 그 고정관념으로 가득 찬 사회 안에서 새로운 고정관념을 창조하며 과학의 발전으로 훼손된 자연을 보존하는 것이 임무라고 생각한다. ■ 김유의

「합판-섬」은 불완전함이다. 왠지 미술적 재료일 것 같지 않은 합판과 판지의 불완전한 재료적 속성, 듬성듬성 뜯긴 것 같은 지지체의 조악한 불완전함, 서로 연관성 없는 논리정연하지 않은 사진들의 즉흥적 배치에서 오는 불완전함, 이 불완전함을 매워 주는 여전히 불완전한 물감, 스프레이와 변색들의 필치. 불완전하면 안되는 곳 에서 난 좀 불완전하고 싶다. ■ 김진기

동양회화에서 선은 정지가 아닌 운동 상태로써 시공간의 영원한 확장을 의미하며, 창조의 모든 시작으로 선을 통해 재현뿐만 아니라 이상을 표출하여 새로운 가치를 창출한다. 나의작품은 하나하나의 짧은 선들이 쌓이고 쌓이면서 중첩을 통하여 화면을 점점 덮어가게 된다. 그 속에는 자연의 존재하는 리듬과 시간의 기록을 얇고 하얀 종이이지만 점점 깊이감이 묻어나는 또 다른 소재의 이미지로 탈바꿈 시키고 있다. 이를 통하여 자연 속에서 변화하는 모습들을 선의 행위를 가지고 간결하고 기계적이고 개성적인 방법을 사용하고 있다. ■ 이상헌

그림은 나의 일기이며 반성이다. 그림을 그리는 이유는 반성하기 위해서이다. 그림은 또 다른 길로 가는 세계이며 출구이다. ■ 이제혁 기하학적 선과 면으로 만들어진 풍경 속 에서 느끼는 실감을 나의 역선(力線, line of force)으로 그려나간다. 이때 만들어지는 리듬적인 선과 공간 구성은 우리 삶이 만들어낸 조형이며 색감이다. ■ 임희성

Every relationship and every nature rhythms are made with such stereotypes and invisible promises. I believe that an Artist's role should be making more unique stereotypes in this ruined world by technology and conserve the nature. ■ GIMYUUI Plywood and island means imperfection. Like, plywood doesn't really look like an art material with sparsely poor supporting quality. Imperfection from unplanned picture settings with no correlation, and imperfect paint filling imperfection, spray and discolored strokes. I adore imperfection in this incomplete world. ■ KIMJINKEY In oriental art, line means 'motion' and 'extension' in the world of space and time rather than 'pause'. Line itself gives the 'start' in every appearance and creates a new ideal value. Lee's work shows thousands of short lines filling the canvas and being overlapped together. This gives a deep and mature documentation of the rhythm and time in the nature's existence. ■ LEESANGHEON Painting is a daily diary and self-examination for me. I paint to self-examine myself. Painting is a way to enter and also an exit to another world. ■ LEEJEAHYUCK I paint emotionally with lines of force in the nature made with geometric lines and spaces. The rhythmical line and space configuration are the shape and colors we made through our lives. ■ YIMHEESEONG
