Beautiful Happy Things

롯데갤러리는 영국의 팝 일러스트레이터 산드라 이삭슨의 개인전『Beautiful Happy Things』展을 마련하였습니다. 행복한 색감과 순수함을 담은 그녀의 작품은 천혜의 자연 환경을 가진 스웨덴의 숲에서 자연과 함께 자란 그녀의 어린 시절을 반영하고 있습니다. 'Beautiful Happy Things'를 슬로건으로 자연주의적이고 컬러풀한 스타일의 작품 패턴들은 그녀가 친환경적 삶을 추구하며 북유럽 스칸디나비아 스타일의 영향을 많이 받았다는 것을 보여줍니다. 그녀의 디자인은 보고만 있어도 행복해지고 기분이 좋아진다는 평을 받으며 유럽을 넘어 아시아에서도 큰 인기를 얻고 있습니다. ● 유럽의 여러 브랜드와 콜라보레이션을 하며 다양한 활동을 하고 있는 산드라 이삭슨은 현재 영국에서 자신의 브랜드 ISAK을 운영하고 있으며, 감각적인 패턴들과 일러스트레이션들은 출판뿐 아니라 벽지, 의류, 아기용품, 테이블 웨어, 머그컵, 접시, 침구 등 홈 인테리어에도 접목되어 그녀의 활동범위를 점차 넓혀가고 있습니다.

이번 전시는 산드라 이삭슨의 국내에서의 첫 번째 개인전으로, 산드라는 특별히 이번 전시를 위해서 한정판 포스터 20점을 디자인 했습니다. (포스터는 각각 20개 에디션으로 총 400장이 제작됩니다.) 포스터는 인간과 자연을 조화롭게 아우르는 그녀의 디자인 모토에 따라서 사람과 집, 자연, 음식, 그리고 나들이 시즌을 맞이하여 어린이들을 위한 서커스를 주제로 디자인되었습니다. 이 밖에도 꾸준하게 사랑을 받아온 포스터 9점과 북유럽의 자작나무와 재생용지, 에코 코튼 등으로 제작된 아트 상품들을 선보입니다. ● 영국 남부의 유서 깊은 작은 마을 아룬델 (Arundel)에서 살며 순수하고 행복한 색감을 담은 유쾌한 디자인으로 전 세계에 해피 바이러스를 전달하고 있는 산드라 이삭슨의 이번 전시를 통해 절로 행복한 미소가 피어나는 편안한 시간이 되시길 바랍니다. ■ 롯데갤러리

Lotte Gallery is pleased to present『Beautiful Happy Things』, the solo exhibition of Sandra Isaksson, a British pop illustrator. Use of color palette in her works reflects happiness and innocence of the artist's childhood, derived from a close experience with nature within the forest of Sweden. The exhibition with slogan 'Beautiful Happy Things' composed of colorful and nature influenced works, showing her pursuit of nature friendly lifestyle and influence of Scandinavian style of Northern Europe. Her designs are getting popular day by day not only in Europe, but in Asia with great reviews - her designs make you feel happy and delightful. ● Sandra Isaksson has been working widely through various collaboration projects with several brands in Europe, and also operates her own brand shop, ISAK, in UK. She not only makes sensible patterns and illustrations, but also makes home interiors like wallpaper, clothing, baby accessories, tableware, mug cups, dishes, and beddings, widely expanding her scope of activity. ● This exhibition will be the first solo exhibition of Sandra Isaksson in Korea, and she designed 20 limited edition posters especially for the show. (Posters are total 400 with 20 editions for each) ● Posters are designed with themes of 'People', 'House', 'Nature', and 'Food', based on her design motto, the harmonization of human and nature. Also, the the`me 'Circus' is specially designed for children on this outing season of the spring. Additionally, there will be 9 pre-made posters with designs that are always been popular and art products that are made with birch tree, recycle paper, and eco cotton of Northern Europe. ● Sandra Isaksson lives in Arundel, a small but historic town of Southern England, and her designs and colors are full of happiness and innocence.
