자연을 입히다 Dress with the natural

황남진 - '자연을 입히다' ● 도시는 계속 발전하고 그 끝은 어디인지도 모를 정도로 발전을 거듭하고 있다. 하지만 가슴 한편에 뭔가 모를 아쉬움을 가진 채, 자연을 그리워하고, 갈망한다. 삭막한 세상 속 에서 조금이나마 작은 위안과 안식처를 가질 수 있기 바라는 마음으로 자연의 생명력이 깃든 다양한 자연물이 넘치는 공간을 표현하려한다. 작품의 주재료인 스테인레스 스틸은 현대적이면서도 세련됨 ,반듯함 , 차가움 등이 느껴지는 도시를 상징하는 재료라 생각한다. 스테인레스 스틸판을 조합하여, 자연물을 형상화하고, 각각에서 느껴지는 차가움과 따뜻함의 상반된 이미지를 통해, 도시와 자연의 공존 가능성을 모색하는데 중점을 두었다. 나아가, 자연으로 하나 되는 '도시 속의 자연' 을 표현하고자하였다. 이번 전시는 '자연을 입히다'라는 주제로 자연을 교감하고 세상을 물들이듯 자연의 색을 입혀 자연이 갖는 생명력을 전달하고자한다. ■ 황남진
