비룡승운_하늘을 날다

12간지 동물 중 유일하게 현실에 존재하지 않는 상상의 동물 용은 전통적으로 신성하고, 위대한 초월적 존재 로 인식되어 왔다. 용은 대체적으로 큰 뿔과 입, 수염을 가진 머리와 뱀을 닮은 긴 몸 등 아홉가지 동물을 합친 형상이다. 우주만물의 신성한 힘과 질서를 상징하는 것으로 여겨지면서, 제왕의 권력을 상징하는 영물(靈物)로 인식되기도 한다. ● 천안은 예전부터 다섯 마리의 용이 여의주를 얻으려고 서로 다투는' 오룡쟁주(五龍爭珠)'의 형국이라고 전해 져왔다. 이러한 용과 관련된 지명이 많은 역사적 의미를 지닌 땅과 함께 60년 만에 온 흑룡의 해를 맞아, 천안 시는 올해의 사자성어로 '비룡승운(飛龍乘雲)'을 선정했다. "용이 구름을 타고 하늘을 날듯이 현자(賢者)가 자신의 재능을 마음껏 발휘하는 것"을 의미한다. '천하대안(天下大安)의 땅' 천안에서 용을 소재로 한 작품 31점을 감상하면서, 용과 함께 구름을 타고 하늘을 날아보자. Ⅰ. 용_권위와 초월 ● 상상의 동물 용은 힘찬 기운을 가진 권위와 초월의 존재이다. 전통적으로 왕권을 상징하고 수호하는 신성 한 영물(靈物)이면서 우리 고유의 정서가 내재해 있는 용은 장엄한 이미지, 금으로 장식된 화려한 모습, 감 각적 환영을 느끼게 하는 등의 다채로운 형상으로 나타난다. 작가는 생동감 있게 작품으로 표현한 구름을 타고 하늘을 나는 용의 이미지에 자신의 권위를 부여하면서도, 그것으로부터 세상을 초월하는 힘찬 기운을 되받고자 한다.

Bi-ryong-seung-woon_Flying dragon up in the clouds ● The dragon, which is the only fictional animal included in the 12 animals of the sexagenary cycle of the Chinese zodiac, has traditionally been recognized as a sacred, great, and transcendental being. A dragon usually has an image that features elements of nine animals, which may include a head with big horns, mouth, and beard and the long body of snake. As it is considered a holy power in the order of the universe, it is also recognized as an intelligent animal that stands for the power of the king. Since ancient times, Cheonan has been considered as a place in which five dragons are fighting for the cintamani. Cheonan, a city whose name and history is connected with the legend of the dragon, chose "Bi-ryong-seung-woon" as the phrase for the year of the black dragon, which occurs once every 60 years. The phrase means that a wise man shows his great talents as if a dragon flies on the cloud. Let's fly with the dragon, enjoying 31 artworks inspired by dragons. Ⅰ. Dragon - power and transcendence ● The dragon, a mythical animal, is a great and transcendent being with power. Traditionally, it stands for royal authority and protects it, while as a symbol of Korean values, it has a magnificent image, decorated with gold, and a colorful image that gives the feeling of a sensual welcome. Artists try to give their own sense to the image of the dragon that flies in the sky on the clouds, and try to receive the energy of the dragon. Ⅱ. Dragon - communication and sympathy. ● Welcoming the year of the black dragon, we exhibit work that aims to communicate with society, while using the image of dragons. We also present artworks that are flying together to a world of hope, and artworks that invite audiences to a virtual reality.
