조형연구소는 서울대학교 대외협력본부, 동양화과와 공동 주관으로 2012년 국제학술회의를『예술과 교육: 경계를 넘어선 대화』라는 주제로 개최합니다. 이 국제학술회의에서는 서울대학교 미술대학, 호주의 RMIT(Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology), 싱가폴의 LaSalle College of Fine Arts) 교수 및 대학원생들이 작품제작과정 및 교수학습활동에 관해 문화적 차이와 다름에 관해서 논의하려고 합니다. 부디 참석하셔서 자리를 빛내주시기 바랍니다. ■ 서울대학교 조형연구소

□ RMIT (Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology) 오스트레일리아 빅토리아 주 멜버른 도심에 인접한 공립대학이다. 주요 캠퍼스는 중심 업무 지구(CBD) 및 근교의 번두라, 브룬스윅에 위치한 캠퍼스, 베트남의 하노이와 호치민에도 캠퍼스가 있다. 120년 이상의 전통을 자랑 멜버른 대학과 모나쉬 대학, 시드니 대학과 함께 오스트레일리아를 대표하는 대학이다. 2004년 타임스가 발행하는 세계대학순위의 세계 상위 200대 대학에 55위를 차지했다.

□ LaSalle College of Fine Arts 싱가포르 중심에 위치해 있는 LaSalle 캠퍼스는 싱가포르를 대표하는 예술 종합 학교이다. 이 학교는 예술 학교에 걸맞게 디자인되어서 건축적으로도 특색을 갖추고 있다. LaSalle 은 학생들에게 인상적인 공연공간과 학업과 전시를 위한 공간을 제공한다. 캠퍼스는 3개의 공연장을 가지고 있으며 싱가포르 에어라인공연장과 두개의 블랙박스 공연장을 갖추고 있다. 또한 1500 스퀘어 미터에 달하는 현대미술 전시장과 갤러리들을 갖추고 있다.
