조율연회도는 두 작품이 한 쌍으로, 참고작품인 '무신진찬도병(戊申進饌圖屛, 조선 헌종 14년, 184년, 견본채색, 8폭 각 136.1×47.6 cm, 전주국립박물관 소장)' 중 3,4첩의 내진찬(內進饌)과 5,6첩의 야진찬(夜進饌)을 각각 '낮파티'와 '밤파티'로 재해석한 그림이다.

'Cho-Yul Banquet' illustrates the rhythm of the world that I have observed and experienced. Memories are simple chronicles of life, whereas reminiscences are emotional experiences enshrined in my heart. Even for the same emotional experiences, the way in which I reminisce about them determines whether each piece is a banquet. ● 'Cho-Yul Banquet' series is a reinterpretation of the following paintings into a pair of work: "day party & night party". Painting referenced - 'Musin jinchan dobyeung (Royal Banquet in the Year of Musin, 1848, Colors on silk, Eight-panel screen, each panel 136.1 by 47.6 cm, Chonju National Museum)'. ● 'Si-Yul' is my pseudonym, which also indicates the chronology of the reminiscences depicted in the painting. For instance, 'Cho-Yul Banquet' signatured as 'Si-Yul 27' refers to the experiences of my 27-year old life. ■ CHO Haeree
