봄, 젊음을 이야기하다

봄, 젊음을 이야기하다 ● 종종 20대를 가리켜 젊음과 꿈을 이야기 한다. 하지만 정말 그렇게 희망만 가득한 것일까? 마치 봄의 꽃처럼, 20대의 젊음은 아름답지만 그렇게 녹녹한 시절은 아니다. 학교 그리고 사회, 청년에서 성인이 되어가면서 이들은 미래에 대한 불투명함과 불안으로 고민하며 또 그렇게 성장해 나간다. 그리고 이러한 희망과 불안, 순수함과 고민은 일곱명의 젊은 작가들의 작품들 속에 고스란히 묻어난다. 십 년 후, 그리고 이십 년 후, 이들은 또 어떤 모습으로 어느 곳에 서 있을까? 2012년 봄, 이들의 그 풋풋한 이야기들을 회화, 도자, 목칠, 영상 등 다양한 작업들을 통해 들여다본다. ■ 김동현

Let's Talk about the Youth, in this Spring! ● It is spring. Often we compare the spring season to the youth of twenty. People say that it is the most beautiful period of life, which is full of hope and dreams. But, are they? truly? As a flower blooms in spring, the youth shines in its twenties. Though, as flowers fall off to bring the marvelous summer greens, the youth of twenty learns and grows through agony and pain. And, in this spring, feeling and experience is projected in the works of seven young artists, presented at Yeok-Sam-Yeok Gallery/Daewoo Securities. What will they be in ten and twenty years? What will they do in their thirties and forties? In the spring of 2012, we are looking at what they are now and imagine what they will become. ■ KIMDONGHYOUN
