황찬수 그림 - 색채의 향연 ● 황찬수의 그림은 색채의 향연이다. 다양한 색채는 자연스런 붓놀림에 실려 시시각각 변화하는 톤을 보여주며 화면 전체에 펼쳐진다. 여러 색채가 조합하여 한 tone을 형성함으로써 보여지는 화면도 화면이지만, 그 화면 위에서 이루어지는 정연한 붓질 행위는 시간적 의미를 내포하는 음악적 연주라고 하는 것이 적당할 것이다. 황찬수의 그림에선 화면 전면에 동일한 리듬으로 균질의 색채들이 춤을 춘다.

The painting of Chansoo Hwang - The feast of Color ● The painting of artist Chansoo Hwang is the feast of colors. Various colors upon liberal brush stroke show ever-changing tones whole over the canvas. Also showing picture as forming certain tone by various color combining and brush stroke action in good order on painting can be properly illustrated as musical performance involving the mean of time. In Chansoo Hwang's painting, homogeneous colors dance with identical rhythm over the whole canvas. ● For him, the object of painting is not a thing or a matter. His painting serves his own mental response about accidental meeting and the coincidence point where formative compulsions happen which is the motive of painting. The primary mental state on site which rather impromptu and passionate passes through time and introspection process then is finally presented after refined. His painting is pure emotional reaction and is making performance by musical inspiration. ● Performance~! Chansoo Hwang is always seeking endless free. He is certain about that artist activity should be very free. Like that, for him also, paintings with his presence are formed. This is what I would like to mention, 'Grain' painting of Chansoo Hwang. This grain is wind, water, breathing and heart grain. This is more like immaterial thing which can be felt by five senses. It is not a visual object but when you closely reach with delicacy then you can feel. ● This also can be said as ''the trace of encounter''.
