캐주얼 한 스냅사진을 참고로 하여 회화로 재구성된 장면들은 우연성과 순간성을 띤다. 그림에 담긴 순간들은 특별한 의미가 부여되지 않은, 쉽게 지나치기 쉬운 찰나의 순간일 테지만 동시에 분명히 존재했던 순간들이다. 미술관이나 갤러리 등 미술활동이 이루어지는 공간과 이에 관련된 인물들이 반복적 소재로써 등장하는 이러한 최근작들은, 특정공간과 이 공간을 점유하고 있는 인물에 대한 관심에서부터 시작되었다. ■

Taking into reference the casual snap shot images which are then recomposed as a painting, the work embodies both the chance encounter and instantaneity. The instant captured in the painting does not, however, embrace any specific meaning—it functions as a mere capturing of an ordinary, fleeting moment, yet a moment that surely took place. In the recent works, museums, galleries, or other art-related spaces and people related to such spaces repeatedly appears, which speaks to the artist's keen interest in specific spaces and the people occupying those spaces. ■
