Drifting Images : The New Asian Photography Network ● 비주얼아트센터보다와 Art Autonomy Network[AAN]은 2009년부터 문화교류 프로젝트를 진행해왔습니다. 이 두 예술 기관들은 사진과 연계된 창조적 활동을 통해 문화적 친분을 촉진시키며 문화적인 발전에 공헌해왔습니다. 나아가, 우리는 보람 찬 학제적 경험을 고취시키기 위해 몇몇의 학술적인 프로그램을 기획하여 진행해왔습니다.

다음은 기획 및 진행 된 프로그램입니다. ● 사진 워크숍 (일본 사진작가들이 한국에 체류하며 진행) ● 사진작가 레지던시 프로그램 (2011년 8월에 3명의 일본 사진작가들이 한국에 체류하며 작업했고,     2012년 2월에 2명의 한국 사진작가들이 일본에 체류하며 작품 활동을 진행 예정) ● 사진 전시회 개최 (한국과 일본에서 각각)

서울에서의 전시에서, 3명의 사진작가들은 일본에서부터 준비해온 프로젝트 작품들을 출품합니다. Kuriyama Hitoshi, Nakazato Kazuhito and Ogushi Shoko의 세 일본 사진작가들은 그들의 새로운 프로젝트을 위해 각각 2주간 한국에 머무르며 작업했고, 동시에 비주얼아트센터보다에서 강의와 워크숍을 진행했습니다. 각각의 워크숍은 참여자들로부터 많은 관심과 성과를 얻을 수 있었습니다. ● 마지막으로, 비주얼아트센터보다의 김수혁 대표와 이용완 이사, 기획팀의 윤민화 씨에게 깊은 감사의 말을 전하고자 합니다. 저는 이 프로젝트에는 그들의 도움이 매우 컸음을 잘 알고 있다. 따라서 나는 이번 전시회에 관련된 모든 분들에게 나의 큰 감사를 전하고 싶습니다. ■ 에미코 카토

Drifting Images : The New Asian Photography Network ● The center of visual art boda in Seoul and Art Autonomy Network [AAN] in Tokyo collaborate on this cultural exchanging project which has started in 2009. Since that these art organizations have attempted to contribute their brotherhood and cultural developments trough photography, but also we have promoted the cultural friendship through new creativities. Moreover, we devote to organize several educational and intellectual programs in order to explore encouraging the academic experiences towards full of achievements.

We have organized these different activities as follows: ● Photography Workshop hold by Japanese photographers in Korea ● Photographers in residence (Three Japanese photographers work in Korea in August 2011,     Two Korean photographers will visit in Japan for creating new photography in February 2012) ● Photography exhibitions in Korea and Japan respectively

In this exhibition in Seoul, three photographers participate to work in the project from Japan. As three Japanese artists: Kuriyama Hitoshi, Nakazato Kazuhito and Ogushi Shoko, have stayed in two weeks for creating their works, and made their lectures and workshops in each on this project at the center of visual art boda. The project has gained big attentions from the participants, and it has accomplished the full of achievements on both countries. ● Now, my deepest appreciation goes to Mr. Soo Kim, President, Lee YongWan, COO and MinHwa, Planning and Coordinating Team of the center of visual art boda. I actually know that the project is realized how much they make enthusiastic efforts with us.
