대주제 : 다양성의 조화 (Unity in Diversity) ● 프로젝트 대기중ooo은 서로 다른 세대와 문화를 아우르는 아티스트와 청소년이 만나 예술의 실험성과 창의성을 공유하는 공동예술창작 과정을 통해 작품을 완성해 나가는 프로젝트이다. 5개 팀이 가지는 개개의 독창성을 존중하되 하나의 전시로 모였을 때 조화를 이루어 국적과 세대의 경계를 넘나드는 화합을 이루도록 하는 것이 이 프로젝트의 목적이다. ● 2011년 프로젝트 대기중 ooo 전시컨셉: Lyrical soul (서정적 감성) 올해로 7회를 맞게 되는 '프로젝트 대기중 ooo'은 '다양성의 조화'라는 대주제 하에 매년 새로운 컨셉의 전시를 기획한다. 2011년 은 'Lyrical Soul'(서정적 감성)을 모토로 현 디지털 사회에서의 내적 교감과 소통을 주제로 표현하고자 한다. 인터넷과 스마트폰으로 대표되는 SNS(Social Network Service)의 급성장은 전 지구단위의 인간관계의 확장과 각종 정보 교류, 이용자 간의 수평적 연대감 형성을 가능하게 하였다. 하지만 익명의 웹 상에서의 무차별적 폭력성, 즉각적이고 피상적인 커뮤니케이션, 내면적 성찰이 부재한 소통 등의 부정적인 측면이 대두되고 있다. 이는 문명의 발달로 범람하는 교류 속 진정성 있는 감성적 소통의 단절 현상으로 이해될 수 있다. ● 이번 프로젝트에 참가하는 청소년 작가들은 이러한 소셜네트워크의 가장 대표적인 이용자인 동시에 정보와 문화의 주체적인 생산자이기도 하다. 또한 기성 세대는 이러한 커뮤니케이션 환경의 급격한 변화에 적응하고자 노력하거나 소외되어 가는 과정에서 청소년들과의 세대적 간극을 경험하고 있다. 이번 프로젝트 대기중 ooo에서는 교통, 통신기술의 발달로 전 세계와 개개인 간 소통의 물리적 거리는 단축되었지만 인간관계의 근본인 '서정적 감성'이 부재한다는 문제의식에서 출발하여, 내적 교감과 소통에 대한 다각도적인 성찰을 시도하고 이를 공동예술창작을 통해 다양하고 창의적인 예술적 방법으로 표현하고자 한다. ■ 문정민

Project Standing by ooo Subject: Unity in Diversity ● Project Standing by ooo is an annual project that brings artists and young students from across the world together and they share experimental mind and creativity through teamwork to complete art work. Each of 5 teams is encouraged to demonstrate their own identity but ultimately, the project aims at unifying different cultures and generation altogether as an exhibition. ● 2011 Project Standing by ooo Concept: Lyrical soul Project Standing by ooo, opening its 7th exhibition in 2011, changes its exhibition concept every year under the subject of 'Unity in Diversity'. In 2011, having 'Lyrical Soul' as a motto, inner communication in the current digital era will be focused. The rapid growth of SNS (Social Network Service), represented by the Internet and Smart Phone, has enabled socializing with the people worldwide, unlimited exchange of extensive information, and forming equalized relationship. However, unprovoked violation on the web based on its anonymity, instant and shallow communication, interaction lacking introspection have been raised as negative aspects of SNS to name a few. Amongst abundant communication tools thanks to the development of communications technology, one's genuine sentiment is often missing. ● Participating students in the project are the typical users of such SNS and they are autonomous producers of very information and culture at the same time. Meanwhile, adult generation is experiencing a gap between the young and themselves as they try to adapt to the rapid change in communication environment or get alienated from it. Through 2011 Project Standing by ooo, students will have a critical mind on absence of lyrical soul, the fundamental element of human relations, despite the shortened physical distance between individuals and the world. We hope that students and artists will introspect on sharing each other's true feelings via digital medium from various angles and express the results into creative art works with diverse means of art through teamwork. ■ Jungmin MOON
