자연과 시간의 스크리블링스 ● 자연과 시간은 복잡한 미로의 세계를 직조하여 물질의 현존을 강화시킨다. 그 미로는 계속 변화하는 만화경의 색깔과 패턴처럼 끊임없이 변하는 놀라운 미로이다. 그 안을 통과하는 모든 것은 이 미로의 세계에 내재되어 있는 자연의 법칙을 따르게 되어 있다. 낮과 밤이 끝없이 교차하며, 모든 것은, 그것이 생명이 있든지 없든지 간에, 탄생과 죽음, 성장과 소멸, 기쁨과 고통, 그 이외 무수한 이중성과 현실의 롤러코스터를 탄다. 인간의 웅장한 세계로부터 곤충과 아메바의 극소 세계에 이르는 모든 것, 그 사이에 존재하는 무수하고 다양한 생명체들, 곧 시간의 미로 여행을 하고 있는 어떤 것도 거기서 벗어나지 못한다. ■ 로저 리스햅 티본
