이곳과 저곳, 그리고 나의 곳이 되는 순간, 나의 집이 된다. 환경과 자연, 그리고 인간, 우리는 같은 집에서 산다. ● 김현정 작가는 인간과 자연환경, 동물의 유기적 관계인 공생관계를 'HOUSE'라는 집합으로 모아 패턴 화하는 작업을 한다. 그 유기적인 관계는 서로의 영향 아래 영역과 간섭이라는 연결고리의 패턴방식으로서 서로의 교집합적인 환경의 화면을 제시한다. 환경, 동물, 자연(식물-꽃), 인간의 인공적인 공간은 서로의 아웃라인을 가지고 서로 얽혀 작가만이 바라보는 컬러와 배열로 자연스러운 인공의 공간으로 재배열 탄생한다.

그 공간 안에는 다양한 동식물이 존재하며, 마치 숨은그림찾기 식의 유니크 한 환경을 보여준다. 인간 환경의 발전과 진보, 그에 따른 환경문제의 역설적 표현이라는 개념을 밑바탕에 두고, 마치 즐거운 놀이를 하듯 조각조각 컬러들의 패턴을 반복 재생하고 있는 것이다. 그 패턴의 교집합에서 비롯한 '잡종' 또한 매우 자연스러운 형식과 영역을 만들어내게 된다. '잡종'이 새로운 인류로 탄생하고 발전되었듯이, 작가의 인위적이며 습관적인 패턴 방식은 자연스러운 화면을 만드는 방식이며, 새로운 조형을 만들어 내는 인위적이면서 자연스러운 현상이다.

즉, '잡종'이 인정된 또 하나의 'HOUSE'가 되는 순간이라 할 것이다. 마치 경계와 중심 간의 협상에서 항상 인간이 우위에 있어 문제시되는 환경의 거대 담론을 작가는 각 영역을 접촉하고 집합시켜 자신만의 시각예술화 박물관으로 재현하는 것이다. 작가가 바라본 지금의 이곳과 다양한 지식체계의 저곳, 그리고 시각화하는 방식의 순간, 모든 것이 공생하는 'HOUSE'가 되는 것이다. 그곳은 '집'이다. ■ 김재원

This place and that place, And the moment it get my own room, Be my home. Environment and nature, And human, We live in the same home. ● Artist Hyunjung Kim does patternization by collecting symbiotic relationship, the organic relationship between human beings, natural environment, and animals, into the set of 'HOUSE'. This organic relationship is the pattern of link, that is, the domain and interference under mutual influence and presents the screen of intersectional environment between them. Environment, animals, nature (plants-flowers), and artificial space of human beings having their own outline are mingled with one another and reborn through rearrangement into natural, artificial space based on the color and arrangement that only the artist can see. Various kinds of plants and animals exist in that space, and they show unique environment almost like a pictorial puzzle. Laying as the foundation the concept to express paradoxically the development and advancement of human environment and environmental problems resulted from that, she repetitively regenerates the pattern of color pieces as if she enjoyed a delightful play. The 'hybrid' originated from the set of the pattern also produces fairly natural forms and domains. As the 'hybrid' was born and developed as new mankind, the artist's artificial and habitual pattern is a method of forming a natural screen and is an artificial and natural phenomenon that creates a new form. In other words, it is the moment that the 'hybrid' becomes a new kind of 'HOUSE' that is acceptable. The artist contacts and collects each area of the environmental macro-discourse which raises issues because men always take priority in negotiation between the boundary and center to reproduce it as her own museum of visual art. ● At the moment of this present place that the artist views, that place of various knowledge systems, and the method of visualization, it becomes the 'HOUSE' where all live together.
