거기 뭔가 있다. ● "RAW-로"는 가공처리 되지 않은 것이다. 원초적이며 다듬어 지지 않았다. 본래 그대로 날것임을 유지하는 상태이다. 그만큼 신선하며 물질 고유의 형태를 보여준다. 말 그대로 "Raw-로" 한 이번 전시 기획은 작업 형태의 자유로움이 얼마나 그것 자체로 신선하게 다가 올 수 있는지 보여준다. 구성이나 기획, 작품, 심지어는 공간까지 모두가 있는 '그대로의 것'을 표방한다. 그래서 작업도 공간도 원초적이며 다양한 해석을 끌어 올 수 있고 또한 해프닝 적이다. 각기 다른 생각의 기초에서 파생된 작가의 철학들을 담은 이번 전시는 절대 가공되지 않은 순수처리 방식으로 관객에게 다가간다.

헬렌 쉐독의 작업은 정보와 선, 줄무늬, 색 그리고 반복적인 패턴에 주목하며 유래된다. 드로잉 작업은 작가의 모든 작업의 근본이 되며 지속적인 양상을 끌어내는 중요한 역할을 한다. 질서와 혼돈은 지속적으로 서로 배합하며 기대하지 못했던 결과들이 억제, 집착, 통제된 액션에서 보여진다.

잭 맥린의 드로잉은 아주 크고 어수선 해 보이지만 실제로 그렇지 않다. 어느 장면 에서든지 시작해서 연결되는 고리들이 형성되어 있기 때문이다. 내재되어 있는 드로잉의 설명요소들은 일상에서 영감을 얻은 부분이 많으며 작업적으로는 설치, 비디오 물 들의 시작점이 되어 파생되기도 한다.

헤븐 백은 개인화, 의식에 관련하여 작업한다. 특히나 이 과정들은 사회를 거친다. 사회를 거침에 있어서 나타나는 요소들을 합쳐서 그룹화 하기도 하고 각기 다른 개체로 보면서 유머러스하게 또는 정치학적으로 해석한다. 헤븐은 자기 자신을 매체를 바라보는 시점의 주인공으로 승화시키는 방법으로 관객에게 퍼포먼스적으로 다가간다. 작업들은 대부분 시리즈물로 구분되어 프로젝트성이 강하다.

스티븐 왓모우는 리얼타임에서 나타나는 학대, 은둔하는 시선, 그리고 병신같은 형태에 주목하는 미디어 아티스트이다. 대부분 그의 작업은 과도하며 즉흥적인것 이다. 그리고 작가만의 특이한 시각은 중요요소로서 비디오, 애니매이션, 사운드 작업들에 적용되며 부자연스럽고 어색한 요소들은 즉흥과 계획됨의 조합에 섞여 퍼포먼스로서 표현된다.

RAW in a restless point ● Raw is not processed. It is primitive and not trimmed. It is the stage of being as it is. So Raw is fresh, and shows what its elements truly are. This is Raw exhibition. As it refers, the exhibition presents how fresh art works can be when it is unimpeded and raw. Structure, curation, art works and even the venue claims to be 'itself' can bring up variety of interpret and happenings. This exhibition confronts to viewers with raw aspects that derived from foundation of artist' thoughts and it is never affected. ● Helen Shaddock's work stems from a fascination and visual attraction to organised information, lines, stripes, colour and repeated patterns. Drawing is fundamental to her way of working, and process is an important part of her work, often introducing a durational aspect. Order and chaos constantly challenge each other, and unexpected results emerge from highly controlled, obsessive and rigorous actions. ● Sangho Park is well known for his recent work series Noname Film or B.D. Series, and he shows his moleskin notepad to public. He shares his raw ideas from the early stage of his working process and daily thoughts. he works through the idea within this area: existence and imaginary space, twisted recognition and its memories, deja vu or jamais vu, fake and fantasy. ● Jack McLean's drawing is growing and as such partly functions on one personal level as a kind of diary of ideas for future artistic projects, sculptures, interventions, videos etc. Because of the style and content of the drawing there is no ambiguity, it is instantly accessible, crowded with references from every facet of human activity. ● Heaven Baek' art practice deals with identity, consciousness and mostly through society. The intention of working with society has been putting elements together and also finding individual by using humour and political senses. She often uses herself as a protagonist, for a method of self-reflexive source to engage with audience by its performative language. Her works are documented in different medium and presented as each project. ● Steven is a media artist who enjoys the real-time acquisition of tolerable abuse, hermit perspectives and also wankers acquisition. A lot of his projects are heavily reliant on spontaneous neurosis exploitation. From an outlandish perspective it could be inferred that a signature element to his video, animation and sound work is the intersection of laborious work flows with highly improvised strategies and scenario based performances. ● Aaron Williams as an artist is inspired by his experience of becoming deaf and by a politicised, yet humorous sensibility towards disability. Mostly, he devises unique performances and videos that are created on-site immediately prior to their public presentation. These considerthe situation he encounters and represents, in part, he response to it. ■
