꽃이 핀다

내 작업은 기운생동을 바탕으로 자연과 나의 하나 됨을 나타낸다. 자연 그대로의 모습이 아닌 주관적 형상으로..  단순한 재현이 아닌 나와 감상자를 연결하는 소통의 표현으로 이끌어간다. 그래서 나는 자연이 갖고 있는 생명력과 영원함, 고귀함을 끌어내고 나 자신 또한 그림 속에서 또 다른 감상자로서의 역할을 하고자 했다. 일상의 풍경으로 자리 잡은 풀과 꽃을 나의 생각과 감성, 잠재의식 속에 있는 모든 것과 기억 속에 자리 잡은 찰나의 순간에 수많은 물음표를 던져 본다. 이로서 자연과 내가 표현하고자 한 모든 것이 강렬한 색채의 대비와 부드럽게 흘러가는 농담의 변화, 유희하듯 한 소재의 구성을 추상을 바탕으로 자연을 형상화하며 굴곡 있는 선들의 나열로 캔버스 안에서 자유롭게 노니길 바랬다. 색채를 통해 하나의 완성된 조형요소는 자연의 색에서 주관의 색으로 끝없이 반복되는 붓질과 곡선으로 표현하고자했다. 그러한 작업과정은 내 안에서 자연이라는 무한한 세계를 인식하여 실제와는 다른 새 것으로 그리고 재탄생하게 하였다. 나의 그림은 소소한 일상 속 현실을 담담하게 바라보듯 하나 감상자의 눈길과 흔적이 닿으면 꽃향기가 퍼지듯 우리의 마음속에 서서히 스며들게 되길 바란다. ■ 임경림

My work represents the unity of me and nature through the spirit being full of life. My work expresses the mutual understanding between the observer and me by showing subjective image rather than simple representation of nature itself. Thus I tried to play my role as another observer in my work through bringing out the vitality, eternity and nobility of nature. ● I constantly call in question everything in my thoughts, emotions and sub-consciousness and the moment of my memory and the gross and flower which are placed in the picture of daily life. I hope my work can visualize the nature with curved lines in my canvas and harmonize the nature and everything I wanted to express based on curved lines which figure the nature through the contrast of strong colors and the change of the shade of color flowing smoothly. I tried to express one particular completed design element by the color through the endless repeat of brush stroke and curves which is from the color of nature to the subjective color. ● Through this work, I clearly understood the infinite world of nature and thus I tried to reproduce whole new one which is distinctive from the reality from inside of my heart. My work seems like it assumes a disinterested attitude toward the minor reality but I hope the observers understand my work as if there is the scent of flowers everywhere when their eyes and traces are with my work. ■ LIMKYOUNGLIM
