자라는 집 A Growing House

자라는 집 ● 내가 만들어 내는 집들은 창 밖 풍경 속 한자리를 차지하는 밋밋한 어떤 부분일 수 도 있다. 또한 무엇으로든 변할 수 있는 영화 속 주인공의 모습 같다. 그들 중간 어디쯤일거다. 아니 그 둘이 서로 겹치고 뒤바뀌는 지점인 듯하다. 사실 시시각각 변화하는 이것을 정확하게 말하기는 어렵다. 가끔은 집들이 말없이 우리를 내려다보고 있는 느낌이 든다. 특정한 시간이 되면 자라나고, 사라지거나 눕고, 계속 변할 것만 같다. 우리들이 기분에 따라 얼굴과 옷을 바꾸듯 가만히 있지못하고 같은 수법으로 종일 쏘다닌다. 작지만 무한한 힘을 가진 집에서, 오늘도 재미있게 논다. ■ 박수진

A Growing House ● The houses Icreate could be dull scenes that you see through your windows. At the same time,they seem like heroes in the movies, who can be anything they want to be. Maybe they couldbe somewhere in the middle of them. Or they might beat some point that those two different images are met and reversed. Frankly speaking, It is not easy toexplain these ever-changing point of views exactly. Sometimes, I feellike the houses are looking down us in silence from where they are. In other times, itseems to me that they grow up, disappear, lie down and change continuously. The houses roamaround here and there all in the same ways just like we change our faces andclothes depending on our moods. I gently ask themwhere they want to go, what they want to do... In a house that issmall but with unlimited power, I enjoy my day... ■ PARKSUJIN
